This is one of the most emotional and powerful performances of Sohyang. Yet she cried backstage because she thought she didn’t give the song justice!

The song was written by South Korean rock ballad singer Yim Jae-beom whose wife died in 2017 of cancer. The musical motif reminds me of another South Korean/Japanese group I've been trying to track down for a decade now. They had a an uncommon name with diacritical marking (I think) which was why I never could remember the name.

소향 말대로 절대 그리움인 "고통"을 표현했단 그 자체...듣는 이도 그냥 고통스러움...아마도 어떤 가수도 소향처럼 이런 식으로 표현할 수 있는 가수는 보기 힘들 것임.
