Your Aglaonema are stunning. I have a few of them but they tend to get root rot because they are planted in mostly garden soil with a little sand. When it rain they get alot of water. Where I'm living we do not have rice husk, what I can used as substitute. Thanks much.

This video is really very helpful. I have been trying to find an easy soil mix for my Aglaonemas and I can find all these ingredients in Malaysia. Thanks . Can I use the soil mix for my caladiums too?

For caladium, I usually use : 25% raw rice husk + 25% burnt rice husk + 10% garden soil + 20% cocopeat + 20% dry leaves (dry bamboo leaves/dry banana leaves/other kind of dry leaves). The dry leaves must be 100% dry and without white fleas on it. Thanks foe watching.

I am live in Jamaica so I cannot get rice husk, or goat manure, what else can I used instead of rice husk and can I used chicken manure instead of goat manure?

You can use perlite to replace rice husks. For manure..if you do not have, you can use alternative soil mix. I have uploaded a video about alternative soil mix for aglaonema. Please check it out. Thanks for watching. I never use manure from chicken for aglaonema. 🙏

Because we need to fermented the soil mix... Water the soil mix then keep in 1 week. It is save for our aglaonema

Why we've to wait for one week before we can use the mix soil?

After we mix all of them, there is the gas in it. it can make aglaonema feels uncomfortable. To make it cooler we have to keep it 1 week. It is ok if We keep the soil mix without we close it. It is ok also if we mix the fungicide (1 spoon) into 2 litter water then we water the soil mix after that we keep the soil mix in 1 week. In one week, it also can ferment the rice husk.
