I don't get why people complain about airbrushing. It's an absolute game changer when you're painting armies. I couldn't be without it nowadays.

@@threhane3492 mate it drives me insane. It's like every time he posts a video he has to excuse himself for using an airbrush or some douche in the comments is complaining about it. Let the man paint how he paints, if you don't have the tools that's a "you" problem.

Thanks guys!! I know somtimes i feel using an airbrush is like using a racial slur. Sayimg that I’ve probably been told off less for a racial slur 😂

I think it is very likely, or should be a reality, but I think that your skill set, you're almost signature style has the potential to be immortalized in a paint collection put together by one of the larger companies as like the Feral Painter's Grim Dark palette. You should really look into it. You are, without question, one of my favorite painters.

Looks awesome, love this new plastic range. I’m not sure on scheme yet but I think I definitely want metallic armour, just really enjoy grimdark metals atm. Especially since I stopped matte varnishing everything

Thanks for the video. I really like the look of the Solar Auxilia. While I don't think I'll play Horus Heresy I can well imagine picking up some of these. I just play 40k with my buddies and we can use house rules to represent the extra armour, compared to the modern Guardsman.

Another absolute banger bro. I don't get the air brush hate its a great tool to have in your arsenal, I was intimidated by air brushing then I took the plunge and got one fucked up along the way with it, which is how I learnt, I'm still learning.

When you use ratling grime contrast as a wash are you thinning it with contrast/lahmian medium or just applying it straight from the bottle?

Straight from bottle. And for a more subtle effect just use water to thin slightly

Wait, what? Are Enamel fumes dangerous? I thought they only could make you a little dizzy (never happened to me though). But are there serious long term dangers that one should be aware of?

No. Not megga just dont wanna keep breathing them in. Not gonna kill you. But obvs take precautions. Most decorators work with enamels all there life and fine 🙈

If you can’t afford a $50 airbrush with $99 compressor and take the time to learn then this hobby isn’t for you. It’s essentially a mandatory for me at this point especially for larger models and statues. Save some cash, buy an airbrush, and stop complaining about it
