Saw this one in person in Texas right in the center. Unless you see this in person there are no words to describe what it is like. What I saw today was the most beautiful & incredible thing I have EVER witnessed. If you haven't seen one of these total solar eclipses, you need to do it in your lifetime. It had a profound impact on me, & I can't quite explain how.

Bought my eclipse glasses and packed everything for the day. 10 minutes before I was supposed to head out, I get the most intense abdominal pain I've ever experienced in my life. Had to call 911 and hours of agony later I find out I have a kidney stone. I didn't get the see the eclpise at all. My hospital room had zero windows and I missed the whole thing. But, it is what it is. I will see the next one in 20 years 🫠🙃

Back in 2017 during the last eclipse I was in middle school and was able to go outside to see a partial covering, it was as if it was evening with how much sunlight was blocked. Ever since then I swore I would travel to the path of totality for the next one (which happens to fall a month before I graduate) and see it in full. My mom and I drove a few hours and found a good spot to watch with conditions that cleared up just in time. Things went quiet except for the sounds of the animals and there was a strange feeling in the air as the unusual darkness set in, and then we looked up to see the total eclipse in all its glory. At totality it was probably the coolest thing I've ever seen, there was detail in ways I couldn't have even imagined and it completely blew my expectations out of the water. It almost felt surreal and as if you had stepped into another dimension. Pictures seriously do NOT do it justice and if you're ever near the path in the future, go. The partial eclipse is cool, but it has nothing on totality which is just absolutely mesmerizing. It was truly an incredible experience.

As we neared our maximum, I noticed as shadows became sharper, the temperature dropped about 5-7 degrees, the breeze picked up, the sky became a deeper blue, colors looked duller, and the sun was a thin crescent! Im reminded of 2017 seeing total eclipse with my loved ones in a field in Corvallis Oregon. It is hard to express the weight of the experience. So we just screamed and laughed just like these people haha. The sun looked like an alien planet. And you cant see it here, but the distant horizons looked like a reverse sunset. Life changing beauty.

I live in southern NH and drove north to Pittsburg, NH to see it. Literally one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. Being able to see solar plasma jets peeking out behind the moon with my own unaided eyes and being able to see the corona of the sun was breathtaking. Totality lasted about 3 minutes and it went way too fast!!! I was so bummed out when it was over but it was an experience I will never forget. I’m 24, and I had never seen one before, so to say my mind was blown is an understatement. On top of that, it was a beautiful, perfectly clear day without a singular cloud in sight. I found a nice, quiet, small parking lot with only around 15 people or so, and hearing the collective cheers and gasps as totality occurred only added to the experience. I’m so glad I was able to catch this amazing event, as the next one in America won’t be until 2044!!

Also from Southern NH. And i traveled to Colebrook for this eclipse. Id say this was a jaw dropping experience but that doesn't do it justice. Somehow it has changed my way of thinking. Don't know if it will wear off in the coming months or not. It is now a happy memory i will never forget.

It was incredible! I am a native Dallasite. I had to watch it through my window, because I had just gotten out of the hospital (pneumonia...im doing better now). Anyway, it was the weirdest, most spectacular thing I have ever seen in my 55 years of life. It went absolutely pitch-black here at around 2pm.
