Thats good we need to do the same to keep that power coming in unit that sun is down ..

Dan, I knew it would help a lot but it is working about three times better than I expected. There are just a bunch of ways that it makes everything better. For example: when its cloudy and rainy, we might get 900 Watts instead of 600 Watts. Another: Clouds don't typically pass over both panels at the same time. There seam to be a lot of reasons that this is really working out well.

Just curious how much grid electricity do you use?

Jeremy, It varies a lot depending on how many people are living here as our kids and other family come and go. When everyone is here I would say our electric bill is around $120 and when they are gone its more like $60. Before solar, it was more like $250-$350. This is all before the ground mount so we shall see going forward. I think if we added a 30kWh Lithium battery, we could go close to zero. That's the plan when this battery bank is depleted.
