The Urwerk UR-100V "Blue Planet" is supposed to tell you the time, but also the rotation of our planet around itself and the rotation around the Sun. Advanced watchmaking with innovative features, but as a foundation time and the movement of planets.

Love your videos! Keep them coming. Christiaan Van Der Klaaw makes a solar system watch called the "Planitarium" with the position of all the planets around the sun. Talk about complitcation!! He makes primarily astronomical watches. If you have a moment, take a look at this watch. Simply amazing!

I think that making 25 was a bit reckless. The trouble with it, is that it's going to attract attention and questions: 'What does it do?' That's going to take 10 minutes to answer, and if they're still there when you've finished it will be followed by 'Why?' This would be a good time to leave. It all looks like a complication looking for a job. The size is ok though for all that stuff inside.

I've seen other Urwerks working (in videos). You can see the time at all times. The arc between 0 and 60 is exactly a third of the circle. When one hand hits 60, the next hand starts at 0, with the disk above it showing the new hour, and the hour circle begins again. I think the hand after it goes past 60, or before it hits 0, points at the scale that shows the movement of the earth.

If each hand represents 4 hours (1/3 rotation of the typical hour hand) perhaps that is why only 20 minutes (1/3 of the rotation of the minute hand) can be displayed?

Am I wrong or are the additional indicators really just additional scales for the already existing minute hands? That is pretty disappointing. Just slapping some additional printing on the same old Urwerk movements?

The case design is a bit toyish and outdoorsy yet is not meant as a tool watch considering the movement and complications there.... Can we look at this as art rather than a watch?

Disappointing that they didn't account for relativistic frame of reference time variations due to velocity and gravitational forces. Opportunity lost. I would have paid $100K for that.
