Moonbyul, thanks for doing this with me!
There's this popular 'Your Song My Song,' right? LOL I tried parodying it with Byul LOL We sang each other's song and Mamamoo's song by changing the part.
LOOOL So funny LOL
Actually, there have been many requests from many people to do the Part Change. I think I did just once when I was performing as Mamamoo. But doing like this properly LOL it was the first time.
Since it's other members' part LOL I don't really get to sing it... so it felt a little strange LOL

Damn. Mamamoo is THIS GOOD! They are the extremes of the group vocal-wise, switching between that person who can hit the highest VS the lowest notes. It's definitely a challenge!. You wouldn't even notice that they are not singing their parts because they give justice to whatever line they are singing. I love how they're also constantly harmonizing with each other. It's a Mamamoo thing.

It's really refreshing that they change their part, we can see Solar is doing Moonbyul's rap part and Monnbyul is singing the vocal part, and it doesn't stop there, they change the song into their style, it makes the song really different. I once said that the one who can cover Mamamoo's song is themself

I am always amazed about how MB and Solar always seems hyped and having fun when performing HIP, you would think they have done that song so much, that they would grow tired of it themselves, but they have this almost childish pure happiness about them when doing HIP, just like in this performance and also in Killing Voices! It makes me ridiculously happy to see how much fun they have!

I always love the little textures Solar adds to Moonbyul’s songs when she does the vocal. Light vibratos and stuff. And obviously Moonbyul’s rap fit so perfectly for Solar’s song. But also her vocal’s matched the style as well since a lot of the lines are short and impactful and Moonbyul can have a pretty girlish tone depending on how high she allows herself to sing.

if im not wrong at first she's auditioning to be a vocalist, but since all mamamoo member aside from her already became vocalist she decide to take the main rapper role, she only had to polish her vocal again and didnt had to learn from basic

Although Moonbyul does have good vocals, her voice isn't as powerful as the other members so their company pushed her to be a rapper to make the group more dynamic. Hence why she hardly gets any singing lines when singing with Mamamoo

honey is low in the first part.. when solar sing by herself it sound breathy.. whilst byul tone is naturally base tone.. lower register in the first part of honey really suit her and when solar and byul harmonies together it sounds fuller, consist of lower and higher register..

I love this idea for mutual song promotion! Not only can they switch parts and cover each other's songs, but they can give them their own flair and character. I love the way Solar-nim sounds when she raps with her cute swagger and the way MoonByul-nim sounds when she sings with a kind of deep flow.

The funny thing is the fact that they have a mamamoo signature sound that even they sing all their solo songs as a unit it still gonna sound like a mamamoo song..and its a good thing coz even they're individually doing their own music you'll never gonna miss mamamoo's sound... 짬에서 나오는 바이브 피쳐링 했을 때도 느꼈지만 문별 루나틱 노래에서 나오는 신남 뿜뿜 바이브의 노래가 솔라랑 정말 잘 어울림 상쾌해지면서도 가창력이 딱 받쳐줘서 만족감이 느껴지는 실력이라 랩 포함된 신나는 솔로 활동도 해주면 좋겠음!!

No but it's so amazing how Solar's song sung by Moonbyul felt different (IN A GOOD WAY) and the same thing happens when Moonbyul's song sung by Solar. Idk if they rehearsed it first or not but I love how they complimented each other's performances! They HARMONIZED like it's just how they do it regularly!! This is why each member of MAMAMOO will always stay relevant bcs after all, they are REAL PERFORMERS who sings with their MICS ON. AND I LOVE HOW THEY INCLUDE MAMAMOO'S SONGS ASDLKALSK ngl they both have many great solo songs to flex here and yet they decided to include mamamoo in it... This somehow tells me that mamamoo as a group is not just business partners but actual family.

Solar said on Jessi’s show that rapping was really fun and made her feel confident, and I can really see that here. I hope she can learn to rap more in the future and write her own rap parts for songs!

Solar can rap lol who you think taught Moonbyul to rap?? Solar did. Her position in the group isn’t being a rapper but a vocalist and leader. That’s why she doesn’t rap in mamamoo songs. Rappers are Moonbyul and hwasa. Even though all the members can rap

@@JameseGray1991 yes, Solar the one of help, encourage and trained her ( ofcourse Moonbyul also have rapper mentor, if I'm not mistaken Moonbyul and Wendy were same rap mentor ) The reason why Solar taught Moonbyul because she has zero background in rapping techniques and skills how to developed her rap in many genres, moonbyul is really original Vocalist. Their Vocal mentor when they are trainee got shocked when Moonbyul said she is rapper of the group (mamamoo) because she thought Moonbyul also vocalist ( like lead vocalist ). If you are new mamamoo fan or casual listner, i just want to say that Moonbyul already experienced more one Lead vocalist ( but i believe she also experienced the main vocalist) and Leader of her past group before we have mamamoo. ( she has group before with Wheein which is Moonbyul is the leader and Wheein is the Maknae ) She also studied in SM academy as Vocalist in many years she more vocalist than rapper, Her Rapper trainee only have less than 1year

I LOVE THIS WITH ALL MY HEART. I'm about to cry of how moonbyul shined in here, we can actually see how an amazing rapper and vocalist she is. The way she nailed the rap part in honey screams MAIN RAPPER TO ME. But also when sang the vocal parts in mamamoo songs, we never heard her singing them, I was like 🥺🥺🥺. Why did she have any vocal parts in them in the first place!!!

She didn't because at the time she wasn't confident in singing, that's why it took her so long to be able to do so. That's why there weren't a lot of videos of her singing back then!

I feel the same waaaaaay! I like mamamoo especially these two! I live for this vid! And for the day I see MoonByul singing parts/lines the other members sang. I guess since it’s a rare moment.. I can’t get enough of Byul singing Solar’s part or other member’s part! 😍 It’s also delightful to see Solar rapping especially Byul’s lines!😍

After watching this for the thousandth time I realize what makes this so enjoyable (besides the vocals and harmonies obviously), it's the constant adlibs and laughing and random noises they throw in, really makes this performance come alive and you can see they were meant for the stage

Okay so I finally watched it all and wow Byul's low, slightly gravelly tone goes so well with Solar's airy voice. Honey specially was a treat to the ear!! UOAY will always be my favorite of all time but dare I say it just got even better? I just might dare lol. Not to forget your banter makes everything doubly better!! This was amazing in every way possible ❤️ Moon & sunrise album when unnie??!!

Moonbyul is in fact a vocalist one of the rare contralto in kpop. Is so fresh to hear her rapping but is such a pleasure to hear her sing so low so confortably. I wish to see this side of her as well as Solar rap
