Her smile of joy and accomplishment at the end says it all. She was amazing, I agree with everyone about the camera angles. Very distracting, and done at the worst times.

BIG mistake! But maybe there are more useful/flattering edits - also, she and the cameraman would SURELY have learned from this. Perhaps a piece for a different, more contained staging or as just a section of a bigger choreography...

Great dancing and idea! The videographers destroyed the atmosphere through changing the angles in some parts of the dance, which is negative to the effect the dancer created...

Yes, especially showing people in the wings of the stage. It completely ruined the atmosphere. Why would they ruin such a hypnotic performance? This would have been stunning had it been shot from the audience's angle of vision.

Why on earth are these videographers shooting angles and far away shots...the dance is frontwards...all front details in which we'll see other moves too...only video the front please.

The spotlight was blowing out some of those shots. The only ones with high detail were the closeups. It would have been nice to get the full-length shot that wasn't blown out. I imagine they didn't have a dimmer switch on that spotlight? The performance was damn amazing.

Right! The camera frame creates a stage. When the camera moves it obliterates the stage and the relative movement! Keep that camera on lock!

Wowzer....this dancer goes beyond dancing and into the realm of art....telling a story....amazing choreography....spot on with costuming....lighting....I have watched this over and over....I don't even want to watch any other videos for now, still absorbing this...The Goddess, shaking off the dust of the ages....amazing.

Incredible performance. Prekrasno! 👏🏾👏🏾🫶🏾 Am I the only one who gets flashbacks of the dancing, multi-armed Kali statue come to life in that Sinbad movie from the 1970s? It’s a compliment. I loved that scene as a kid. This performance was absolutely mesmerizing. Blowing the dust of the ages from her stone arms was THE perfect touch. Bravo!

Such an absolutely gorgeous piece of work! The depiction of a goddess in Statue form coming to life exactly what she shows! Brilliant! I could not tell whether your eyes were closed, or open! Wow mind-blowing!🤯 Just wish the camera would have stayed on her in front! She's the star of this dance not the background. Again well-executed I couldn't think of a better way to interpret exactly what you interpreted! Bravo!💃❤

This was great. I have no context, just randomly found this on KZfaq, but I feel like it perfectly tells the story of a statue that only comes to live once in a very great while and how happy she is to be able to move before returning to her stone state

Doing this with your eyes closed is beyond difficult...just try walking with your eyes closed across a floor, you lose your balance. This is my favorite exotic dance I have ever seen, by far. Incredible and awesome!

Some really inspired choreography going on in tribal fusion, when they make a collection of seminal performances this one is definitely going to be right in there. There is the subtext of taking an ancient style like temple dancing and breathing new life into it, allowing it to live in this new form. Just brilliant, witty and accomplished.

Bloody hell! I did belly dancing for 12 years, and I have seen so many performances over the years, but I’ve never seen anything as compelling or as weird not to mention skilled as this! It was like some alien goddess portrayed in a movie about an ancient civilisation… That’s all I’ve got. Absolutely loved it 👏… I think I might have to watch it again actually😂 and PS having just watched it again I forgot to mention how awesome the music was.

@@user-ij6jb6ru8c Ожившей статуей называют стиль Одисси в общем именно этот 🙂 Наверное меня Одисси поразил наповал, когда впервые увидела, и увидела именно Суджату Мохапатру...мне повезло...🙂 А классический индийский танец - это один из самых сложных (йога в движении), и меня, думаю восхищает именно это. Это с виду все легко выглядит, потому что танцор суперпрофессионал... А вообще обучаться начинают в детстве, и учатся 10 лет, прежде чем назваться танцором

@@bastetchannel86 Ну и что особенного в этой вашей Одисси - всё время стоит в раскоряку, как-будто с коня только слезла😆, и попу оттопыривает, при чём в одну сторону и одни и те же движения. Не могла дождаться когда видео закончится, такое однообразие и ничего особенного абсолютно.

I was sucked into the wormhole of solaris tribal dancing, thanks for the random suggestion youtube. This is by far my favorite one. The headdress is fabulous, the gray body paint and dust makes this feel like a statue come to life. The white contacts are hella trippy and perfect. Sure the camera ppl got a little crazy with all the angle changes. The music is perfect, dancing excellent, bravo whomever put this together.

Amazing. I got chills. This is coming from another dancer. We are critical but when it's this good. You are not a good person if you can't give it up and be like damn. Well performed.
