Tallinn tests out the 24 meters long Solaris MeroStyle Trolleybus. 13.11.2021
The trolleybus can carry up to 200 passengers, and able to drive about 20km on battery power.
Tests last from 1st November to December.

In Budapest, we have Solaris Trollino 18-s, but they are nothing compared to this! Maybe when trolley lines in Budapest get extended we will use these, but I doubt it

you should Visit Riga, Liepaja and Daugavpils cause they have drastically improved their tramways and also public transport in-general.

I was in Riga about 3 months ago.. Not really. The trams were really old and the taxis were very expensive.

Manufactured by Polish producer Solaris Bus & Coach in Poznań. This is one of the longest trolleybus in the world! It was designed to support BRT systems (Bus Rapid Transit). So it needs the right infrastructure. It is not suitable for tight buildings and narrow streets

Late answer I call it the illegal trolleybus due to EU rules that state buses should be 18,75M long enough

No wires at the back.. I am curios how the driver will reconnect the trolley-poles if they fly off at the switches And also how he will take the poles down to their support in garage

Everything is provided automatically and the driver does not have to leave the vehicle. The Solaris trolino are electric-traction buses and can run as electric buses where there is no traction.

👏👏👏 Побольше бы такого "длинного" транспорта в Таллинне!!! 🙂👍 Много места для всяких колясок.👍 А весной/летом/осенью частенько подростки (и не только) забираются в транспорт со своими самокатами (не только электрическими). И тогда бывает... 🤷‍♀️ хоть "пей RedBull" )) - не пробраться к выходу, не сломав/ушибив ноги, сквозь коляски гуляющих мамочек, трости стариков и самокаты подростков...! 🤔 А этот - такой большой и просторный новый троллейбус, замечательный, тихий и быстрый! 🙂👍👍

both push and pull as it has 2 engines
