rfj9118 there’s another track called Nimbus by Oliver Smith and I’m not a big fan of two tracks with the same title as in my opinion it lacks creativity, but you’re right the track is out of this world.

Really awesome track. Great that Robert Nickson is back with tunes like this. He released such a good tracks in early 2000s but this one is even better.

@@mryantong Armin plays Trance...just not this style of trance too often these days. A lot of his songs are still Trance at the foundation. Purists, like yourself, are the ones being toxic and close-minded saying if it aint classic OG stuff, it aint Trance. That's BS. The sound is evolving. It's ok to like the pure stuff but dont be pissy and cram your idea of what is Trance down upon others. You are stifling creativity doing that.

@@lichee12 Armin is one of the most talented and gifted DJs. I listened to him for years and years, saw his performance countless times, but in recent years he has been mixing up Trance with other styles during his live sets, probably since 2016 or 2017. This ain't nothing about music evolving. It's fun and totally acceptable mixing 1 or 2 or 3 songs with other styles during a live set, but not 70-80% of the whole set. I still consider Tiesto as God of Trance, Armin as King of Trance, but only with respect to real Trance music they used to make (Tiesto), or are making (Armin, sometimes). It's ok that people like what Armin is doing, but do not call him "King of Trance" on those mixed up live sets because those sets are not Trance and that was not how he got the name. And I still hold my position, Solarstone delivered real Trance experience, ain't like Armin.

@@mryantong Fair enough. I actually agree with just about everything you said. Your other post came off rather disrespectful though which is why I had to reply. I still think the genre is changing because there are other producers that have changed their sounds as well and come off similar to Armin (or maybe Armin similar to them, I dont know when it started). I personally like it all though....techno, vocal, prog, house, etc. I even like the pop twist as of late. To me, those all end with "trance" though. They are definitely not "Pure Trance" but they are still fundamentally part of "Trance" to me. To each their own - just leave the negativity out of this community and keep things respectful.

@@lichee12 Armin plays tons of Trance from all kind of subgenres for his ASOT, the recent ep. 1000 is an example. But yea his live sets are seldom about Trance now. Thats the problem I believe lots of people like me have. On one side we enjoy what he does on radio but can't see him performing anymore. Saw him few times since 2017 but its disappointment after disappointment. dont get me wrong those performances were great, they weren't just the atmosphere he used to deliver. And there's that title, King of Trance.
