Information regarding the recent collab for Intl moo Hi, I am a korean moo and this is translated by a friend who is fluent in english. I am writing this to inform international moos of what is really happening regarding the collab of solaar and kaassy in korea and why kmoos are making such a big deal out of this. Im afraid that there are some miscommunication and misunderstanding about this issue that leads to some unnecessary conflict between kmoos and imoos. Im gonna try addressing this in a detailed way so that you guys (imoos) understand the situation as the way it is. The partnering artist of the collab is called kaaassy and she has been suspected of sajaegi. Even though its just a “suspicion” the public already believes that she had done it and this is what matters most. The point is not that its a “suspicion,” the point is that the public already sees this artist as a sajaegi artist. Even though her sajaegi is “cleared” the public will still believe whatever they want. 1. What is sajaegi? What does sajaegi represent in korea? Recently there has been a big issue of sajaegi which basically means the act of cheating your way up the chart by buying the machines for streaming. This has been a huge and sensitive problem. Koreans are very harsh and strict concerning the problem especially ever since a whole string of artists got caught cheating and performing sajaegi just recently. Kmoos are concerned that imoos are undermining this problem and brushing it off as a light matter. It is hard for international fans to understand this method of cheating and how it is received in korea since this has become a shady part of korean culture. Meanwhile, koreans are experiencing this as part of their life, media, communication, art, music and so on. We have experienced the seriousness of this problem and this is why we beg you guys to listen to us. Please. Sajaegi is not something to take lightly of. It is like a fire that will spread and harm all the effort that our girls have poured in to their past albums, songs and what they will make in the future as well. It is a flaring red line that would put an irreversable mark in their career. Please, we dont want to fight. We arent even asking for you guys to understand the situation fully. We are just asking to LISTEN. And we beg this sincerely with tears. 2. Why is this such a big deal? Kmoos are making a big deal out of this because it is not only something that will pass and go. We know our girls are clean and we all know they worked their ass off to bring so many good results for each of their albums. But with this collab, the public will misunderstand that all their past and future works will be sajaegi just because of this collab with a sajaegi-suspicion artist. I know this sounds like shit and imoos might think this is a bit extreme. But you know why kmoos are worried as hell about this even though it sounds extreme? Because kmoos are aware of how sensitive koreans are when believing the slightest mention of sajaegi. We are not saying that imoos are clueless in this situation. We know that imoos are also aware of how serious it is. But it is also true that kmoos are more knowledgeable in the shady culture of sajaegi and this is why we are asking you to listen and trust us as well. 2.5 to compare the severity of sajaegi.... in korea, supporting sajaegi is just as badly received as an artist who support racism. This is part of korean culture that maybe a lot of you guys will not understand. I apologize for my ignorance beforehand for comparing this issue as something heavy as racism. But we are this desperate to let international fans aware of how negatively this problem will get shown in korea. MMM has already been misunderstood as racists before and some international ppl still continue to hold it against our girls. Being misunderstood as sajaegi or even supporting sajaegi will do the same impact or worse in korea. It doesnt matter if the sajaegi is true or not because the public will believe whatever they want to believe. A lot of articles will come up attacking mmm with false suspicion in their career and onwards. There are already negative articles popping out which is already starting to make the public turn against mmm. This is serious. This will impact mmm’s whole careers. This will impact them as independent artists. All kmoos are asking is to widen your perspective a little more. We are asking you to see a little bit further. We are asking you guys to see ahead to the storm not just the nearby future. We are asking you to listen please. 3. So what will happen if the collab sails? Wont it be good if this collab becomes first in the chart? So there are two possibilities this collab can go if it fires. The first possibility is this collab wont have a good result and will rank middle-low. This will lead to solaar being upset and this breaks kmoos hearts as well. Its not just imoos who care. Kmoos care about yongs feelings too. And an upset solaar is something we all would hate to see. The second possibility is that this collab will do extremely well and it will rank top ten in the chart. This is also a problem because the public will then believe firmly it is sajaegi. They will never think deeply and just believe whatever they like. There will be pouring hate onto our girls like never before. Even though the result of the collab is purely out of effort, the public will not think deep and still believe it is sajaegi. This is what the kmoos are afraid of. Through this collab, mmm will be marked as a sajaegi artist whether it is true or not. The public doesnt care enough to ask for evidence. They wont care. This will go on with their future albums. We are asking imoos to trust on kmoos instead of trusting the public. We are asking to listen please. 4. Does kmoos trust and support solaar? Why are they being stupid and hurting her feelings? She worked so hard for it, didnt she? For gods sake, this is why kmoos are so frustrated. We are not frustrated that imoos are supporting the collab. We are not frustrated that imoos dont understand about sajaegi. HOWEVER what we are MOST frustrated about is how some imoos believe that we are trying to hurt solaars feelings. we are frustrated that imoos believe kmoos dont care about solaar. We are frustrated that imoos are doubting our love for solar because we want this collab canceled. We want to scream “how dare you” bc we are doing this because we love her and because we care. Kmoos are right now in tears in this situation and it hurts that some imoos are out there doubting our love for solar. It pains that we have to do this without a choice. Of course we support solar. But please please you dont know the storm thats coming if this collab fires. And the storm will be something kmoos will be experiencing directly. We know solaar worked hard on it. And thats why it hurts more. There is a huge possibility that this collab wasnt even something that solar asked for. The two ceos of rbw and the company of kaassy is friends and there is a possibility that the ceos and the companies are using solaar and mmms reputation to mend the sajaegi reputation that the partner singer of the collab has. What more can solarr do if her boss asks her to do this? Even though it is solars choice, we need to be aware of the consequences. Isnt it our job to protect our artists? We are asking you to listen. Please. Korean culture of sajaegi is not sth that should be taken lightly. Please listen. Please. 5. We dont want to fight Kmoos are fighting in their own way and we dont expect imoos to agree and follow our protest. But we want imoos to atleast be aware of what exactly kmoos are protesting against. We are against rbw not mmm. We are fighting the company not solar. Please stop throwing rocks at us and accuse us for not loving solar. It hurts. Please stop blindly following the collab rbw offers even when it will hurt the girls tremendously. It wont only hurt solar. It will hurt mmm as a group. Please dont shut your ears and eyes to what we say. We are not asking you to stop supporting solar. Kmoos are supporting solar as well. We are just asking for you to listen and think again. Is this what you really want to give the girls? Do you really want to trade this collab for a possible scratch in mmms career as skilled artists? Do you really want to let the antis and public step down on mmm/solar’s hard effort in their music career by getting them framed as sajaegi? Do you really want this storm to come just because of some stupid friendship rbw put into business? We, kmoos dont. We always thank you for your hard work as imoos. And we are grateful you are caring for mmm as much as we do. But please trust kmoos on this. This is more serious than how it looks. Even though we somehow manage to avoid this worst scenario, rbw needs to know how disrespectful they are being to both the artists and the fans. This time we need to make our voice heard.
