First registered February 1971, during these 52 years, the car has had just three owners, the last owner acquired the car May 2004 and has lavished money on the car over these 19 years whilst only increasing the mileage by a mere 3,000 miles. Mileage today stands at 51169.
We have some history with the car which is primarily from the last 19 years, we believe the mileage is correct based on the condition and originality of the interior cabin. Interior is in what we consider to be amazing condition, but obviously showing patina here and there. Under the carpets show a professional restoration at some point, which obviously included a full body professional respray.
Outer sills are the original open fluted variety and no corrosion is present in the bottom of the rear companion bins. The bodywork is straight, paintwork offers a good even sheen, odd mark here and there which is surely expected from a 52 year old car. The previous owner purchased the car from a mini specialist dealer in Bristol, I think they restored the car prior to sale. We do have this purchase invoice dated 2004, the price paid was a considerable sum for 2004.
Car starts on the button and the power train offers good power for a 998cc car, gearbox does not whine or crunch
The engine bay is very original but would benefit from detailing. Boot floor, rear wheel arches all show no sign of corrosion.
To conclude this car is not concourse condition but could well be made so by a fastidious owner. We are happy to get the car MOT’d upon sale for the new owner at our cost
