The look, the flowing lines, so wonderful, classic, for ever, once owned 1966 Chevy Two, only 283, 4 speed manual, put a nice cam, traction bars, tach and gauges, lifted it up, etc. was my ever favourite vehicle, I wish the owner of this beautiful restored thousand of hours of JUST Pure JOY. Envy you, but can try imagine the gleam in your eyes.

Auctions depend on a few things. How much alcohol is involved, where it is, and how many faux bidders are running the numbers up. And prices vary from day to day. A month ago prices were in the crapper for numbers matching cars and restomods that probably cost $100k to build. And if the bullit car didn’t have the media or the national tour pimping the car out prior to the auction, it never would have seen the big numbers. And the worst part, is rollers that are worth maybe $500-$1000 on a good day are $5k and rusty old cars and going for thousands. Any classic sitting in the backyard people think they are worth $10k cause of big name auctions, and dumb car shows like fuel gorilla where they throw $200k around, like it’s a drink from a corner store. It’s good entertainment but it’s all fiction.

Too much money for a non original engine without working gauges. These things are everywhere.
