Pipe unit (43" x 27" x 34") sits on detachable blower module (26" x 22" x 16"). Lowest three bass pipes on detachable racking. Useful and colorful for both continuo and 15th - 17th century solo repertoire.

How is the air produced? I'm interested as most of the organs I'm around tend to be electric.

It has a small electric blower in the lower module, which provides wind pressure to the reservoir and wind chest on top of which the pipes sit.

Why is it that: small organs which can be supported on one's lap and have about 14 - 18 pipes in compass and a bellows which is operated by one hand are called portative -- *porta* - tive organs, and - organs containing one or more ranks of pipes of 50-plus notes and sitting on the floor with a cabinet and electric wind supply are also called "portative" - *porta* - tive organs, when the latter are clearly not at all *porta* - ble, and are rather de- *posit* -ed in place, that is, they are *posit* - ioned and should then rather be called *posit* - tive organs? Why are so many *posit* - tive organs called *porta* - tive organs? Can anybody help me out here ...?

This one is objectively a positive organ. It's small enough to be movable, but too large to carry. Whoever wrote the video description must've been confused.
