Hi Mike & Heidi, Enjoyed your renovation video on the above camper. Searched out ideas for renovating RV's and yours popped up. Showed hubby some of your videos to get some ideas, encouragement, etc. He built 2 houses and 2 barns over the last 40 years. Going to hound him to do the kitchen in the 20 year old MH, which when purchased required some repair . Already bought and installed a stove, now just have to get him to replace cabinets. BTW we lived in Columbia Station, OH 44028 from '80 to '83. Last transfer with GM he was transferred back to our home state of Caifornia where he retired after 30 years with GM. You may want to start a KZfaq channel. There's a lot of interest in rving and especially restoration. If you find that you need to buy a new canvas for your pop-up camper we had researched that pretty extensively when we rebuilt our pop-up camper and found that Bear Creek canvas was definitely the best to deal with and was very high quality material. That's one of the biggest expenses to restoring a pop-up however it is also the most important and the most rewarding after the work is done. Good luck

I think you'll be surprised what a good used RV will sell for... depreciation is always a concern when buying new...We expect our new 2020 Rockwood will be worth roughly $5,000 -$10,000 less than what we paid for it in less than 3 years time...If we sell it outright(trade in almost always mean less too)

Sorry to hear that. My grandparents house burned down in the late 80's, a home they raised 9 kids in, it was devastating. They did rebuild, hope everything works out for you. Thanks for watching! 👍😊

@@Rvdaydream I know the one that comes with older RV's is a LP gas alarm.. that from my experience don't do anything other than draw power. I have a Terry 25B 5th wheel. When it was new, the fridge was running on propane and had went out. The whole trailer was filled with gas, it never went off. I wouldn't trust them.

DEALWITHIT DREALIST although, in your opinion, you might not believe that trailer is worth $6000 but I can tell you in Yuma Az, during the winter snowbird season, with all that trailer has going for it, it would sell easily all day for $6000. Maybe where you are that trailer wouldn’t bring $6000 but it’s all about demographics.

@@mikematthews9564 I'm not here to argue with you. If you bought a trailer like his for $1600 then it wasn't like his. You couldn't buy the roof on Daydream's RV for what you paid for your whole trailer. I've never bought a used RV this age that didn't need tires, brakes, batteries and other items. His needs nothing.

dont get caught up in the small stuff, those things can easily be added....If you havent seen our previous RV Search we came across an important fact..... And that is , You will NEVER find the "perfect' RV...The best you can do is shoot to find an RV that has 80% of what you want.... Even with that percentage number in mind it still took us 3 years of shopping to find our new replacement RV... Good Luck..

There are hardly any RV manufacturers that advertise that they are warrantied to live in full time. They just don't have the same build standards as a house. Although RVs can be an option you have to expect it not to do the things a home will do. Tiny homes, although much more expensive, are basically built just like that a tiny home.

The switch was right inside the door. Basically it was a panel that had three switches. One of the three switches turned on the interior light right inside the door. The second of the three switches turned on the porch light. And then the third switch turned on not only the front light but also the one on the driver side of the RV.
