I've worked in healthcare myself for a little while now and while you do encounter patients with a bad attitude occasionally, the vast majority have a lot of respect and praise for us and all ultimately deserve to be seen with their ideas, concerns and expectations honoured. Unruly patients most of the time are going through something very difficult and just want someone to listen to them. Therefore the attitude of that receptionist is absolutely disgusting and disrespectful. That kind of role is no place for someone like that.

Compassion is a must in patient care, never be so quick to speak before getting all info so the patient needs are well taken care of with respect, love and upmost concern.

After the receptionist was completely rude and being unhelpful, I'm so glad she got what she deserved by getting fired and packing her things. I ABSOLUTELY COULD NOT stand her constantly refering to her as soldier's wife which was so insulting to her. Not only did I want her fired but I also wanted her arrested for being completely rude to a patient who needed urgent help in the doctor's office.
