I remember when my dad was away in Kuwait for about a year and all we did was Skype . During the summer I was always with my grandparents(His parents) as I spent most of my childhood with His side of the family . One night we hear a knock at the door and my grandmother answers it and all I seen was my uncle walk in then my grandmother says there's someone here for you , at that time I thought it was my mom or something coming to bring me more clothes . As soon as I got up from the living room to go to the dayroom there I see my dad !!! Arms wide !! All I could do was cry and I promise you I never held him so tight I was stuck all up under him lol

I have no memories of him because he died when I was 13 months old but I feel like I would have reacted like the children of these great men and women. Thank you to all who have served, are serving and will serve. Freedom isn't free but we love you for helping it to be.

Beautiful, just heartwarming and beautiful. Watching children reunited with their Daddies made me cry. I loved my Daddy. He went to be with Jesus in 2012. He died of cancer. I miss him every day of my life. I am an old woman now, but I look for the day when I shall see both him and my mother again on the other side. Thank you, Mary for posting these precious reunions. My father fought in WWII and he was a simple man who raised three children to the best of his ability. I thank God for him and the legacy he left for us.

I’ll never forget seeing him standing there, proud and so happy. That was 30 yrs ago and every tour from then on out, my dad was right there at the airport when I came home!

This reminds me of my dad. He was fighting the wakandan civil war in Uganda. He got hit with an energy rifle powered by an antimatter engine (I'm not lying at all. That's totally a thing) that teleported him to the Andromeda galaxy but it's ok cuz he's ok he's alive and here with the family. GUYS IM NOT LYING, THIS IS ALL REAL. Please like this comment because because, although my father didn't die, as an emo edgy teen thingy, I wanna extort likes

I have three stories: 1. My step aunt surprised her husband and her kid on her kid's birthday. Everyone was crying 2. When my grandpa came back from the Air Force, I asked (jokingly), "Excited to cook again?" 3. When my brother surprised me at an orchestra concert in front of the entire school, I yelled, "SON OF A BITCH IT'S ABOUT TIME YOU LISTENED TO ME PLAY!" I was eleven. This happened last year. (I did get in a little trouble for swearing lol.)
