It’s the media,politics our government, what are cultures becoming and these dumbass celebrities Hollywood promotes for kids to follow. And not to mention professional athletes not respecting our country or flag for kids and young adults to witness. It’s a trickle down effect. Sadly a lot of people in this country don’t think for themselves and are brainwashed. So they come to places like this and diss our troops keeping them from getting blown to shit by a suicide bomber or hijacked commercial airline. Sad.

I deeply appreciate the psychological, physiological and emotional sacrifices these brave men and women endure, not only because it affords citizens such as myself to feel safe and protected from terrorist threats, but because they do so by choice. We really need to raise these soldiers higher and make returning home and back to their lives a lot easier for them with more resources to help them get back to their lives. The mental and physical sacrifices they make are life changing for them and their families and we take it for granted. As a mother , daughter, sister and wife I can’t wait even imagine the constant worrying they go threw. IDK maybe I am ignorant but I feel that if you are taking the absolute highest risk so others can be safe then when you return you should be taken care in the same caliber f the risk you took.

In firing positions ,kindly put some overhead sandbags to protect from headshots and sharpnels and add some cover for the shooters. You may create grids in 5 meters square on your map. To make directing fire easier and faster. The observers may call to mortar teams and aerial supports base on grids .
@littleb193
@littleb193 Жыл бұрын
Mortars will likely be called if the targets are within 1 to 2 miles of distance. Observers would likely call in artillery based of grids due to impact. The 105mm howitzers are very useful due to their long range, plus it doesn't give away anyone's position because it can be fired from 18 miles away

+Jjeff Kocher I can understand your point of view. However, as soldiers, we have to follow orders. It is not similar to a civilian job where you can quit if you do not agree. Furthermore, it is not if you agree or disagree, it is the man beside you. I deployed with some of the finest people I ever knowned. They are fathers, sons, brothers and friends. The bottom line is we must protect our battle buddies and I would have given my life for anyone of them in a heart beat.

@@gawgaw6941 I agree having said that I don't think it's been a waste of time and our soldiers lives the Taliban now seem to have realised that the only way they would be able to stay in power is to let people live in peace and be more diplomatic the Taliban have realised that if us an NATO forces go back there going to get a good fight on there hands and I really don't think that they want that so from what I've seen an read is the Taliban have said that no us forces. Will be attacked that to me shows that in some way the war has done some good it seem like it's the start in the right direction if the Taliban have been willing to accept talks. I just think that the money that has bee. Spent is absolutely ridiculous. First thanks to all who have served, you are why the rest of us enjoy the lives we have. I didn't read all of the comments, so at the risk of repeating one, I highly recommend the documentary "Restrepo", I've watched it twice on Netflix. Outpost Restrepo was built overnight by the army unit stationed in Korengal after taking fire from that point overlooking their own base. It highly pissed off the Taliban that the Army, literally overnight, climbed up and dug in and held on and built an outpost that allowed them a much better defense of their own base while also helping to bring the pain to the bad guys. They suffer losses including a very popular soldier named Restrepo. The two filmmakers were not from the USA but they seemed to do a great job of capturing the real deal, from what I can tell sitting in the USA. Check it out....

That was I am sure after the U.S. pulled out of there. The file "Restrepo" mentions a date when they left the Taliban hill position. Which was a large area looking down from the mountains.
