Sam disabled the octocamo in the bathroom, but didn't dare unload every bullet he had or use grenades. Snake had the thumb drive. Sam couldn't risk shooting the drive or blowing it up. Eliminating Snake was not Sam's mission, the data was.

There was only one entrance to the room so snake was beside the door ready to strike. Common mgs tactic. Plus snake does have a counter for all of sam's equipment. It was a good battle with the logical outcome.

Hiram McDaniels Depends on if he got hit in any vital organs. The shot hit his side, so it either hit the ribs and was deflected into the digestive system, or it hit an organ like the appendix or gallbladder. There was no exit wound, which helps him as the exit is always worse than the entrance.

Brandon Everett not really snake can easily be knocked out and a lot of sams gear especially in blacklist when he was very powerful had knock out gas which has been proven to knock out snake meaning Sam easily could've killed him considering his knockout gas has had no effect on himself

Snake found Sam in the dark room so easily because of Sam actually needing to vocalize in his communication with Grimm, you cannot be sneaking around AND going "GAAHHHH.... What is THAT!"

Just be aware that just like "Deadliest Warrior", the fighting is for only entertainment purposes only. The outcome is already determined by the combatants' capabilities so this fight is simply one description of countless possible encounters. Besides, Death Battle wouldn't be as fun if all that were presented were stats and feats, right?

I know this is four years late, but the fight does matter in some sense. The fight is what makes Death Battle who they are and why they are so famous. If a character DOESN’T act like how they would in the fight, people would be angry. This fight at least to me is the one of the few good death battles that has the correct research and reasoning, to some extent of course.

+DiAndre Gibson Honestly he didnt even need sonar. He has the soliton radar system which actually picks up people based on biological reactions in the body. He would have known he was coming and even his line of sight/direction he was facing.

About the part when Snake found Sam so quickly in the dark. Sam maybe an expert with blending into the shadows and Mark VIII Tactical Operations Suit made him invisible to night vision, but that doesn't mean he's invisible to everything else. As far as I know, Sam has never come to fight against anti-steath and navigation system that's equal to his Multi-Vision Goggles, which is basically Snake's Solid Eye. Plus, the Solid Eye also had radar, which Sam has no defense against. Plus, Snake has managed to evade Night Vision and Infrared before. So, all in all, Snake finding Sam first in the dark makes sense.

“Silent assassination” is what they said, andhich is a very good debate in my opinion, but Snake has the massive upper-hand in close quarters combat. That is what they were trying to say. Also, Snake has nanomachines and was bred to be the greatest/perfect soldier, so he is very skilled in CQC and weaponry.

Given that nanomachines aren't really "machines" in the sense that something like a high tech scope is; while nanomachines themselves are still at the theoretical/prototype stage, they're more likely to be composed at least partly of biological materials.

Commonly in a stand off between two armed men behind cover, the one who doesn't have to move can defend and react easier provided that the attack routes are limited. Sam only had one door he could have gone in, meaning the only way he'd win at the bathrooms was to provide some kind of distraction to block Snake's vision or dull his reaction time. Even with his arsenal, Sam's only option was a smoke grenade, which would've been useless when thinking about the Solid Eye. Choosing not to end it at the stalls merely made the fight last longer for the video's sake, it wouldn't have changed the outcome with that itself.

Hey, me again. You guys also asked why did Snake find Fisher so fast after the lights went out. Simple: while Sam and Grimm are chatting, her part of the transmission is only heard by Sam, but it's NOT the same the other way around. When Snake's in the next room and Otacon makes the comm squeal, Sam gives away his position by yelling, "GAAHHH! What the HELL was that!!!"... I'm just sayin'. :)

It made sense that Snake's gear could be picked up by the electricity detecting camera, since it wasn't designed to mask that. But I still don't understand how Sam's heat masking gear kept getting immediately picked up on thermal vision.

Honestly Snake's Solid Eye is OP as fuck. It has night vision, radar, thermal vision, footprint detection, model detection(?) (with tanks and other artillery), heart rate monitoring, sweat secretion detection. All sorts of shit.

Snake would easily win, Sams got overall better gear and better training for darkness and stealth in buildings, but Snake......Snake is barely even human with some of the stuff he pulls off. Combine superhuman abilities (reaction times, strength, speed, endurance) with superior combat training, plus his Solid Eye that helps negate most of Sam's stealth advantages and he would win. As agents on a mission, Sam is superior, but as combatants fighting each other Snake is much better.

5 years late, but Snake getting hit by bullets wouldn't do much. The Nanomachine in his blood both heals and patches up his wounds in real time. In the games bleeding stop after about 3 seconds due to his Nanomachines. Its not a lie to say that Snake has a healing factor.

to be fair and honest this was one sided to begin with since solid is a clone/supersoldier who has a form of a healing factor and technology that surpasses Sam and to note Metal Gear is based in fantasy if you played it you would know solid snake is beyond human while Splinter Cell based it's self around more modern reality it's like comparing let's say Master Chief to a marine

Can't say I agree with that outcome. Sam has sonar vision, footprint tracking and nightvision, there is no way Snake would be able to sneak up on him if Sam was cautious.... which he would be if this was accurate as that's how he's been trained as the best agent third echelon has. So yeah, Snake would be able to take Sam in close quarters, but Snake would never get that close, Sam would see him through a wall or sneaking up he would then pull out his rifle and gun him down/fire a grenade etc. Snake should have lost this.

It’s just there to be an entertaining show off of their best(usually their best anyway, they aren’t very consistent sometimes). They use their analysis to figure out who wins, the make the fight.
