I’m seeing two approaches with these things. There’s the Gem strategy, where you load the build up with so much detail and so many hiding places that people just get lost, and there’s the Jimmy strategy, where the build is just so frustratingly simple that no one knows what to do. It seems Gem’s strategy works better. :)

Love this. Shows you don’t have to be a wonderful builder who does all the details, but sometimes the simplest builds can be the trickiest to find someone in.

I think I base that supposedly has no where to hide is genius because everyone looses their minds much faster

I don’t often say this, but it really must be said. Jimmy, you have impressed me. Edit: let me explain myself because I may sound patronizing. From a build standpoint, I’m impressed with his use of detail and build palette, as well as the form of his tree (trees are hard). On top of that, he had to fill it with a couple dozen hiding spots (which is hard), interpret how to build a GROVE (let’s be honest any of them would have done a single tree), and as a point of quality, fill it with detail and decoration. The ground under the island was dug out - showing it was well thought out, he had many hiding spots in a cramped area, and he executed his build exceptionally given he’s still finding his building chops. And on top of all he had going against him, he STILL managed to consistently keep them looking for over 5 MINUTES! Hats off, lad!

Aside from Scott who was...well, Scott, everyone took over 5 minutes to find him. That tells you just how effective Jimmy's build was at drawing everyone's attention away from his actual hiding place.

Oh, the satisfaction this one gave me lol! It's very funny to me how everyone had such convoluted hiding spots and distractions, yet yours, despite how simple it was, made everyone seek the longest. You did pretty well in seeking, too! I love these videos where you guys play silly games, they're very entertaining!

I can't believe how much content were getting recently

Because of how terribly few his decoy hiding spots were compared to what the other guys built, everyone became confused on WHERE ELSE to look, except for scott. To add a cherry on top, he basically hid himself in PLAIN SIGHT. This is the most ridiculous hiding spot I've seen them hide in.

I find it funny that the one spot he trap-proofed was the one spot that didn't actually need trap-proofing because they could just fall off the island and not take a full bar of damage. Never change, Jimmy.

Your building skills have improved so much since I first started watching you!! Very impressed with this episode’s. It was absolutely gorgeous.

I know it's a friendly competition, but you should state at the beginning if F5 is allowed or not. And if it is, everybody should be able to use it and being notified about it from the start. Or it should be not allowed at all. Only one person using it ruins the score in my opinion.

Someone will add that to compilations of various Joel moments.

Just an idea: inside those little holes on the ground level with traps doors on top, you could have built 1 by 1 maze where you have to crawl in it. Make the maze as big as you want, and imagine if each maze took 2 minutes to clear, it might take your time to 10 minutes.
