I love you walk through, easy to follow! i have a question on a semirelated subject! Looking at the heat loads; temp, flux, convection, etc. We can define a time curve resenting the loads added onto an object. I am struggling to use this correctly and wondering if you had any tips and tricks? for example, heat applied to a surface, but the convection changes due to different wind speed

Hmm good question, I haven’t tried this and I’m not sure how simple that would be to implement. One thing to note is that you can do a fluids study and import the results into a heat transfer study which would likely yield good results for differing wind speeds

Somehow I am suddenly getting negative temperature results, Already tried multiple models and in Celsius/Kelvin/Fahrenheit but nothing seems to work :x, any ideas? Only for the transient, the steady state does work! --Fixed-- Have to take my time to select the BODY :D

hello Jeff, thanks for the very informative video...i don't know if i missed it or this part is skipped. did you define contact between the different parts? or does SolidWorks already know that from the assembly constraints? Thanks

I believe the contact should be automatically defined as bonded from the assembly constraints.

What do you mean by “heat regeneration”? Do you want to add a heat source?

Can this same simulation be done with the Flow Simulation Software or is this just the basic Simulation Software?

I believe that SW Thermal Simulation is included in the standard SW Simulation package. You can also import results from a Flow Simulation into Thermal Simulation, though I haven’t tried this yet.
