Absolutely complicated but you simplified it fairly well. Very good tutorial; I completed it in SW2013. There is no 'face curve' command; I created a symmetrical double pointed solid between the arc slots, which allowed me to create a mid composite curve. The curve driven pattern was a little finicky, but I got it to work. Thank you for an amazing tutorial; I am a SW expert and my opinion is this would be fairly difficult for a novice. And I am using SW2013, so it would be easier probably with later versions.

It seems that I get an error when trying to do the lofted-surface at 8:20, I'm using SW2022. It says error becasue it would produce self-intersecting geometry. Perhaps its becasue the very first sketch was blue (underdefined) instead of black?

Hmm thats weird... Is the geometry intersecting somewhere as far as you can see? This might cause the problem

@@learnsolidworks I heard the same issue... using 2021 solidworks. It's not intersecting anywhere

You may have selected the wrong entities when defining the composite curves. This would cause the geometry to intersect.

I had the same issue, I think it really depends on where you click on the source composite paths: aftre 2 fails i did it exactly the way Jan did it and it worked, any other click sequence produced self-intersecting geometry, very strange
