This one has been a long road ! many hours, alot of undersized fish but we finally got there and landed not one but TWO Fish. Chased in many places around at the world and known as Mulloway, Jewfish, Jewies, Kob and Silver Ghosts. I could not be happier to finally land one from the sand. !
24 hour mission was a success and I hope you guys enjoy this one !

with filleting the second side you could do what others suggest and flip the fish over with the fillet still attached but you can also just remove the head all together then the fish will lay flat on your board and it makes it easier. Also dontr chuck the wings out (the part with the pectoral fins) the meat around the fin bones is the best part in my opinion, fry them up. can even keep the backbone and throw it on the BBQ and eat any meat that you missed and pick the meat out from between the bones. not much waste on a mulloway to be honest (unless it has worms bad)

Great session. I find that with filleting bigger fish, instead of taking that first fillet off completely, leave it attached slightly, flip the fish over, and do the second one, and you will find you get a better result as the fish is keeping its shape better. And not bending as much. I'm from the UK as well. I've been here 11 years, and like you said, definitely the best decision iv ever made. 👍

@AusLife Andy I spent 8 years in Darwin but live in Perth now. Was a little bit spoilt in Darwin when it came to fishing compared to Perth, but I'm working it out slowly

Awesome job mate. 🎣🎣. Regarding filleting, if you do your first side but don’t take it off then flip it and do the other side then you just flip back to the first side which is already marked and easy to finish off. If you understand what I mean?
