Hyunsik got inspired by the theory of quantum entanglement wherein a molecule is split into two but they remain connected despite being separated by great distances. so, basically, the actions done on one of them will affect the other. as you can see in the mv, they were pretty much mirroring each other's actions like when they were waving their hands, eating, dancing, writing, etc. if my memory serves me right, the two should not "interact" or else their entanglement will get broken. that was portrayed when hyunsik and the girl tried to meet each other and there was like a collapse that happened in their connection. and so hyunsik has lyrics like "someday we'll become one" and "you and i, we must be together" - i take this part as a desperate scream for a chance for the two of them to meet because the "rules" of their entanglement made it difficult and, maybe, impossible to happen. i'm really impressed how hyunsik thought of relating a scientific concept to romantic love, albeit kinda sad. it was very genius of him as a musician. not to mention that the entire album will take you to space! hyunsik did all the lyrics, composing, and arranging. there were only 2 songs that he worked with mospick. i dont know how to explain it but each song in the album always makes feel like i'm out there with the stars and other celestial bodies-floating, drifting... it's an experience. one of a kind.

Yoseob!! A timeless classic of a voice as always!! He’s actually one of the oldest members of Highlight now, back when they were fully BEAST I think he was more in the middle. Their maknae, Dongwoon is actually one of the many “giant maknaes” who is really tall and looks way older than he is haha

Hyunsik's album is ballad-y but quite versatile! I think you'd like it since his style of composition is approachable yet has a very good amount of musical complexity. Another album that I think would be RIGHT UP your alley would be Changsub's solo album 'Mark'. It's basically rock/slow rock ballads with Changsub's incredibly emotive voice on top.

Hyunsik kills it as a vocalist! He's a phenomenal producer and lyricist and really knows how to manipulate your emotions. That's hilarious that someone else requested a Yoseob MV! I'm so glad they did I absolutely adored 'Brain'!!!! It went straight to my playlist. He has seriously not aged a smidge and it's not fair! One of the other reasons why Yongguk got so popular is his deep voice. If I remember correctly, T.O.P. from Big Bang was the only Kpop low-voiced rapper at the time, so everyone was excited when someone else came onto the scene b/c Yongguk featured in Song Ji Eun's MV before he came out with his solo debut. And then we got Block B's P.O. like a month after Yongguk's feature, and EXO's Chanyeol and VIXX's Ravi only a year later in 2012 so it seems like it turned into a theme for a bit lol. I myself do wish that more groups these days would come out with storyline related MVs. But like, one story to each MV, that can be wrapped up in 3-4 minutes. It was done really well back then. There are so many groups with so much lore or overarching storylines for multiple MVs that it gets confusing trying to keep it all straight, but maybe I'm the only one who feels overwhelmed lol.

Fun Fact for the I Remember by Bang Yong Guk! The vocalist for that is Yang Yo Seob who is he same guy he reacted before I Remember! The actor in the MV is actually one of Park Seo Joon's earliest work!

Hyunsik's album is on the alternative side, definitely more vibey and slower songs but there is one quite upbeat track. Yoseob is actually one of the oldest now, he turned 31 this year. Dongwoon, the tallest member is the maknae in Highlight. Yongguk's song is just amazing, a version with Daehyun (another member of B.A.P) instead of Yoseob also exists. But I also found someone on yt made a mash up of those two and let me tell you what a vocal HEAVEN it is. And with that great contrast of Yongguk's deep voice. Just incredible.

Yeah, I totally agree, Yoseob's MV this time really was a great surprise-- from the dance, song, vocals, MV, and visuals everything was just tasteful and subtly intense and emotional-- which as you said, makes it a solid song that's not only suited for a certain mood (not that that's bad in any way), but it's just a particular type of appeal c: ... also, another note, I think whoever they're hiring to direct/produce their MVs, along with whatever creative input they have now at their own company.. is doing a great job. Not the End was so good, and Brain suits the music really well, despite being relatively simple. And oooh! I completely forgot about I Remember! Wow, what a throwback! The vocals, both in the rap and singing sense.. whew, definitely a great combination. I def wouldnt mind another collab in their current states. It'd be interesting to see how the aesthetic might change.

I mean the guy won 8 times in King of Mask Singer and has the highest record of all idols who joined the show. Even having that voice, he still work hard and do some vocal lessons. HYUNSIK my ult!! YOSEOP another of my favorites!! I'm not one to collect albums and I only own about 3, but when I heard Hyunsik's I immediately had to buy it. The rest of it has some great alternative, rock, and according to Wikipedia (because I'm terrible at genres) also synth-pop genre songs. Just 6 songs (including an instrumental of Dear Love), but I would definitely suggest you check out the rest of the album! As for Yoseop (I know his mv is spelled that way but I'm so used to Yoseob 😂), of the four in Highlight, he is actually the 2nd oldest. However, time is definitely on his side looks wise!

Actually the first time we knew Bang Yong Guk was when he was the rapper in Song Ji Eun (from Secret, same company as B.A.P) single "Going Crazy" (great song). He was a mystery because we never saw his face in the MV, the hoodie was covering it up. All blown away by his deep voice rapping We were all curious who he was, then the company come and said that he is a member from their new idol group. I don't think they had a name for the group then. And before B.A.P debut he has another single, together with Zelo, the maknae from B.A.P, called "Never give up". My fav song from him is "Hikkikomori" the lyrics just spoke to my soul. Also...HE IS GETTING READY FOR A COMEBACK!!!!!!! I can't wait!!!

BtoB members released their solos before military enlistment "except for eunkwang he released it after discharging" the main reason is that they haven't had any projects or promotions as a group since the hyung line where in the military that time, so each one of them started to work on his own solo (minhuk, changsub, hyunsik, ilhoon) all of them composed and wrote the lyrics of their album songs.

I can just listen to Yoseop's vocals all day.... ah.... I really like the style he choose for this one!! But I also recommend his ballads if you haven't heard them before. The two title tracks for his past mini albums is "Where I'm Gone" and "Star" Kazino was the first song I know from BIBI and definitely caught my attention with the deep meaning... btw at that same time I got to know HA:TFELT's Life Sucks which is also deep in another aspect, I hope you could check it out!!

Hyunsik's album is listed as rock/metal on Melon. 🤣 The whole album does have a rock ballad kinda vibe and then throw in an equal mix of synth-pop and then you have that one song which is full on head banging rock. The album is kinda confusing to categorise but definitely alternative and most definitely super different from BTOB sounds. He wrote Dear Love with the concept of Quantum Entanglement in mind. And I think it also translated over to the MV pretty well. So I think basically at the end of MV he meets her again but in a different state or like a parallel universe or smth. No matter how tangled and how stretched their line of fate gets, it never breaks.

Hyunsik Rendezvous album is kinda alternative genre. You also can get rock-ballad, maybe you will like Black. And all song in this album is the space concept. So it's like one story from first till last song. Yeah some old k-pop MVs used to be heavy af, between BAP, VIXX and BEAST there are some crazy ones. Yoseop's song is connected to previous solo songs, Lonely Night (Dujun), Don't Close Your Eyes (Gikwang), Where I Am Gone (Yoseop). He can actually go a lot more rough/rock than in I Remember but they don't release a lot of title tracks with that type of singing. OMG IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I'VE HEARD I REMEMBER. It's still such a good song honestly, still hits hard 😩✨ Bang Yongguk also did a featuring with her ex label mate Song Ji Eun, before debuting and if I remember correctly even before this MV came out, the song is called Going Crazy and it's really good, overly dramatic and with a storyline as well! You should listen to it, but I think it's important to read the lyrics as well, even if you don't do a reaction to it! Also Bang Yongguk did released the first episode of what seems to be a documental about him, and under the management of what seems his own label, and honestly I just love to see him again and hear him talk about his music and who he is and what he wants to portray and yeah you should watch that too! I would actually say Kazino is somewhat a departure from her usual sound. She does have other harder stuff for sure (“Bad, Sad, and Mad” for one), but I suspect you’d LOVE a lot of her other stuff. I’d especially recommend “Restless,” “i’m good at goodbyes,” and either “Binu” or “Nabi.” Oh! And “cigarettes and condom” for one that still has the mature themes but is MUCH more r&b/pop sound-wise.
