Somewhere in the North Cascade mountains lies a beautiful alpine lake with your grandma's name and no real trail. I took off from the car, up through the forest and out into a gorgeous alpine meadow full of tarns and snow. This solo backpacking fishing trip would take me to two alpine lakes where I would attempt to catch these sometimes elusive backcountry trout. The views were spectacular and the alpine lake trout fishing was strange.

@@CascadeBackcountry if only someone knew where this spot was. Lol jk. Don't think im in the shape to get to somewhere like that right now. Lol maybe ill start with an overnight at the pilchuck summit Lookout haha, except no lakes :(

Nobody in the world knows where this is! Haha I blacked out and I don't even know where it is. Yeah start out with some easier hikes.. but only if there's lakes!

I had to do adulting today,, otherwise i would have been in the woods also. You find some prety cool spots. Over here we have to get droped off and picked up otherwise are vehicles get hacked up or stolen.

Oh no adulting is terrible. Definitely some really amazing spots in them there hills. I have been EXTREMELY fortunate to never have my car broken into. It is quite the common place, sadly. Hope ya get to get outside soon!

Another difficult to get to, backcountry lake checked off my list. Maybe someday I'll compile a list/book of all the backcountry lakes worth hiking to!

Hey thanks for the shout out lol. Being one of 2 females that watch ur videos! Im 58 n live in upstate NY so my category would be “woman”. I was thinking maybe the water temp was just too cold for activity. So glad u caught one ! Keep up the great work!

Nice work buddy! I'd have quit after the chartreuse power egg didn't work 😅. Sorry the fishing didn't pan out, but damn what a great hike in a beautiful setting. Awesome!

trout will build redds (nests) just below the waterline in sandy or pea gravel bottom some high mt lakes dont get enough of a season to grow many or large fish look at Spirit lake on MT St Helens 2 yrs after the mt blew 1000 tf of the top and cooked that lake there were trout last I read there were 12in trout and bigger in there
