I like this format, short 15-20min weekend camping trips at different campgrounds..include a camp cook up would get great.

I've got 3 of those 500g gas tanks. They're pretty pricey and not recyclable, so I bought a brass thingy on ebay for refilling them from 9kg BBQ tank. Seems to work a treat. They're easy to store, can refill them when half used so I always know how much gas I'm heading off camping with.

@MartyBoyMedia Yeah, those refill adapters are extremely handy. I have a set to refill the Companion style propane bottles (that Daniel was using) & the Jetboil style bottles, from either a normal LPG bottle or from a butane canister. My refill adapter can also refill the Companion style bottle from a Jetboil gas bottle and visa versa. Daniel, if buying one, do some research. Some have bleed valves built-in, making it far easier to determine if the refilled tank is full. While other adapters don't, which means more unscrewing and screwing of the adapter to check. I got my set from Amazon.

Ziplock bags are part of my kitchen gear for camping. I carry a bunch of 4 or 5 different sizes, and all have double row ziplock. Definitely better than plastic containers for left-overs. A real space saver in the fridge. I've used them for left over burger patties, BBQ chicken, pasta, roast etc when camping. And for left-overs with a little liquid, like casseroles & curries etc, I do the double ziplock bag trick, just to be safe.

You can get a attatchment off ebay that enables the green cannisters to be refilled via a larger gas bottle. There are some videos on youtube.

@fatmanoverlanding
@fatmanoverlanding Жыл бұрын
@@krump743 Burn time depends on what equipment you're using it for. I only use it for my "Coleman Fold N Go" double burner propane camping stove that puts out 10,000 BTU at each burner (20k BTU in total). According to the manual, burn time with both burners on max high on this stove is 1 hour from a 468g bottle. But in the real-world, so far each bottle has lasted a lot more than that. But I do carry a couple of spares each time just in case. And when I get home, refill the empty propane bottles from the 9kg LPG bottle of my home BBQ. A friend who has the Companion Aquaheat Water Heater that uses the same size 468g propane bottles says, the propane bottle will last for just a little over 2 hours on high. But since each camp shower on average is about 7-10 mins each and never on max high (too hot), each gas bottles last far longer. You'd get at a minimum, 12 x ten minute showers (on max high).

Another great clip Daniel, top spot and what a great way to spend a few days away. 👍👍 Couple of things - # 👍 if you want to speed up your grilled cheese cooking time and ensure it’s melted adequately, throw a saucepan over the sanga, upside down, creates a mini oven and can cook it quicker # 👍👍 content we want to see ? I’d love to see a full service and wheel bearing replacement done right there on that beach 🤣🤣 no but seriously bud, just keep doing your thing that you’re already doing, works well and that’s what we’re all tuning in for so don’t stress about changing too much of what you do 😉 #👍👍👍 to stop your ladder legs / feet from digging into the sand ( as you beach camp quite a bit ), grab yourself a piece of timber,, plywood around 15 to 19mm think - can be a single piece right across or two singular pieces and chuck them under the feet of your ladder - will stabilise it immensely and stop the feet sinking every time you climb up or down. Cheers mate and keep on keeping 😉👍👍

Have now gone to a 2kg bottle instead.

All those rocks and beach access and you didnt even wet a line. Have a go at some fishing mate. Might help you "relax" a bit but could give u some potential content when you catch a shark 😂😲 win win. I know its hard on ur own with filming and what not, but i reckon u could of included some 4wding footage on the track in, especially that access track to the beach as its a lil bit gnarly. But just general 4wding footage on the way into where ever u go camping. Most viewers watch the channel for you and ur mrs personality and relaxed style, so really... what ever content u put out people will enjoy it.
