I even manage to hook onto a nice fish and enjoy a catch and cook along the river. It was a good opportunity to test and review the new Solar Generator 300 Plus by Jackery. I think it'll be really handy for longer trips!

It was like watching you be a kid again, especially the aimless tootle up the creek in the morning and getting the creeps. So weird how the vibe is sometimes. I always feel the need to explain out loud what I’m doing there when it gets creepy. The whole video was really, really fun and hilarious but touching at the same time. Thanks.

Mattsey, you write so well. If ever you write a book, I’ll buy a copy. Here in the US, about a generation ago, we had a Supreme Court justice, William O.Douglas, who wrote beautifully about his wilderness experiences and the need to protect those places. Definitely worth a read.

I think I fall under those thay have tried but nothing has stuck and now here I am back doing the sort of things I loved as a child. Enjoying the outdoors, bush walking, camping etc. Slowly getting back ok the push bike too going for rides like I did when I was young.

I still get out as much as I can even if it is for a walk along the lake of a morning because being outside and enjoying the sights, smells and sounds is where I have always found happiness.

Loving the more regular content! One tip though; watch out for the gill coverings on bass. They're super sharp and if that fish kicked a bit as you held it like that, you may have ended up with sliced hands.

Been watching all your vids whilst traveling and hiking around Europe for a year - I’m an Aussie from The Gong and watching your videos helps me remember how lucky I am to live in Aus. Makes me miss home a lot too! In terms of a name for your canoe, I can’t help but to think of Forrest Gump naming his shrimp boat “Jenny”, so maybe you should continue that legacy. Watching from canada Australia looks like such a wild place the only thing i recognized was that bass couldnt tell you about a single tree or piece of brush stunning all the same so different than the north woods and conifers im used to, that bug net tarp combo is perfect i have a similar setup and the feeling of being immersed in nature is my favourite way to camp
