Since the introduction of cross-save I've had quite a few requests for both console videos and Destiny 1 content again. Was something I never really intended to do in the past, but now there's cross-save I figure there's no harm in uploading the odd D1 video. So for this I wanted to do a quick Solo Crota's End to familiarise myself with console again, for both the nostalgia and it being requested quite a few times.
Obviously it's nothing too challenging, and even more so without being a 390 clear - but this is the second thing I've done on console now so it was a good learning point (and why my aim is terrible). And for those who have never seen any D1 content before, here ya go!
Will just do some fun stuff for nostalgia from time to time, nothing particularly challenging.

My PC setup is nothing too crazy at all, but the specs are:
i7-8700, GTX 1070, 16GB DDR4-3000 Ram, 256GB SSD, 2TB HDD.
Allows me to run max settings at constant 60FPS while recording. Which is about all I need for now :)

The song that starts after you pick up the sword gives me chill every time, like i could almost hear my teammates screaming "NOW! NOW! SHIELD'S DOWN!". What a nostalgic, classic theme.

Of all the great D1 music, that epic “you just picked up the sword” music makes me smile and shiver every time I hear it, to this very day! No other destiny encounter music comes close (except for the Gregorian chant that happens during the sepiks prime strike when you do 3 waves of enemies while ghost drops the lasers blocking your path before the Walker section) to getting that feeling/reaction out of me!

Switching will kill ur heavy ammo. Use 2 fusion nades with like starfire protocal to down him. If u want to go for another down pop radiance. Shotgun will take care of swordbearer And sleeper will take care of oversoul/ogres.

I remember when you first posted a 390 crota solo, and I was a noob lol (Rise of Iron start for me). I had no friends, got to end game real fast (thanks rngesus), and really wanted to do a raid. Your vid taught me how to do it, and my first raid clear was 390 crota solo 🤭 thanks for the vids!!

I actually do have Destiny 1 on my 360 so I can actually solo crota with my Hunter at anytime I want and I need to record a solo Flawless ring myself, but watching you do this solo and after the Ages of Triumph update never ceases to amaze me.

You can still play the original version on Xbox 360 and PS3. Every once in a while I blow the dust off my 360 controller and run through it just to reminisce.

@@julien_5049 I have 275 Crota's End clears. I promise you, the original version does not have a wall on the ledge above the second lamp to prevent players jumping to the ledge to bypass the abyss, and ten statues at the far side of the bridge in the Oversoul Throne that require five crossings with the sword to get the checkpoint. Every selectable version of the raid in the director on Xbox has those added obstacles. I don't play PS4 but I would be amazed if it was any different. The last expansion to Destiny released on the 360 and PS3 was the Taken King, so the changes were never released on those platforms. You can skip most of the abyss by jumping to the ledge, and one person can cross the bridge one time, kill the ogres, and get the checkpoint. I guess there could be some hidden menu that I missed, but I just ran the abyss on every version on my Xbox one, and every version was the version with the wall and the statues.

Huh. I'm a bit surprised you didn't do the Lamp skip at the start. I remember that when I tried soloing the whole raid (though every time I only succeded at the first part) I always skipped the longer path.

Waiiittt... since when did Normal Mode get the updated encounters? I thought that was only the 390 version? Does this mean the bridge can't be soloed with the Titan or Hunter like before then? I wonder if this also means that the Chalice of Light is in Hard Mode now though. If the Normal Mode got the updated mechanics, does that mean the loot is also updated to the Y3 version? I noticed that there was no Ascendant/Radiant Shards after all.
