Hi, nice place to fish, i'm in New Zealand ,i have a splashdrone 3 + as you say, old tech now but still as good lift capacity, a tip for you, to attach too bait drop when your by yourself. i use a small clip style carabina attached to drop line, no need open your bait release to attach and drops no problem every time. all the best, tight lines.

Hi David. After losing a phantom 4 to the ocean and almost losing a Mavic air 2s recently I probably was a bit hard on the swellpro. I’ll try the carabiner idea that’s a beauty thanks.

Does the drone stop automatically when it touch the ground or do you have to do anything?
@idronefish2 жыл бұрын
Hi. When the drones are put on Return to Home they will switch off automatically upon landing. I usually will use a landing pad of course. These days I use that option only when on a quiet beach. The Swellpro is a lot more risky to land than the DJI drones. If the beach is busy I only use the DJI Phantom 4 and/or the Mavic Air 2 as they are easy to catch in your hand. You do need to hold the left control downward until the drone switches off when doing this :)

Boa tarde qual o valor? Troca dólar brasil
@idronefish2 жыл бұрын
1 Australian dollar to 4.09 Brasil reais. So the swellpro with everything costs around $3000 with extra batteries and the Mavic Air 2 close to $2000 with extra batteries.

I've never even heard of drone fishing. That's got to be the lasiest way of fishing yet right?

It can actually be quite tough. Winding the fishing reel anywhere up to 700+metres can really hurt :). It does open up a whole new world though. But yes I feel overall it is definitely easier.

Who flies a Drone with take off and return to home on sand? Sand can suck up into the motors..... Use a helipad plastic pad and a half empty 20 L bucket of water as your launch pad as a suggestion.... I have the same Drone and i get 20 minutes of flight time and my controller tells me battery time and distance..... And i keep my launch pad well away from my rod and line..... Just a thought.

Lol ..yes he is a newbie,my home made drone is byfar cheaper and just as effective or even better for fishing.
@idronefish2 жыл бұрын
@@bramskahoon4072 would love to see your drone. Always keen to see other ideas. The Mavic drone I catch and the swellpro has enough clearance not to pick up sand. The sand on Roebuck beach is also quite granular so it doesn’t lift too easily.
