I call my disco "the beast" which is mostly ironic because it's an mpi. Also i may have done a funny and blown my head gasket again because i was going off road mid heatwave full throttle in low range and may have overheated a bit. Oh well, i guess as they say "skill issue". Edit: I've read that some people fit defender calipers in the front to improve braking, it might be worth looking into it.

my old d1 would never overheat even been told it was best for staying cool till it is broken is the only way it over heats. TD5 D2 i have now works lovely now its had the colling system re built. the patrol that was with us in porugal over heated 1st day going up the hill out of Santander and killed its head luckily didn't fully brake till we got back to the uk. ps the guy who got my d1 decided to strip it and now its gone. he told he it was to far gone but only need welling doing properly shame to see it gone when the guy said he was going to look after it and had it stilting on the path for a hole year that properly killed it
