Yes it does look simple and cozy and at the same time if I were going to rent a van for travel I would choose this one over the other ones you see with all of the expensive details or many other things you just don't need in a van even or especially living in it full time not to mention you're not spending $100,000.00 before you even start your incredible van life journey part of your life which is about where I am at right now in life. Wow sorry for rambling but absolutely love the build and love how it turned out and most definitely how little it all cost compared to most. I will be doing some research and hopefully use some of your ideas on my tiny home in the future!

Great idea to buy a FedEx van! Looks like it’s a lot longer than most vans people buy for van life (that aren’t technically buses).

Wow!! $20K is a real good deal. Looks comfortable and has warm mellow vibed wood tones. All that pine gives a spacious feel, since there are not stark blocks of contrasted colors in those larger features...walls, ceilings, and cabinets. But, please cover the exposed wall insulation in the upper cabinet @6:00 - 6:04 😬😳...especially, if it's fiberglass.

Plants are so good for air quality. That is good that you did that since you don't have all the windows you want. It helps also break up all the wood.

Very nice build. You have everything you need. You have room for a toaster oven as well. And get a water proof mat and shower curtain for your portable shower. I personally would warm some water on your propane stove instead of taking a cold shower 😂

What do these vanlife people drill into when they connect things to the wall? Are they drilling holes in the van? I cannot figure out what they are anchoring these wall units to? A van does not have studs to drill into. No one ever explains it they just talk about their build lol.

There are metal beams that run throughout the van that have a double layer, so you’ve got like 2 inches of space behind the first layer before you hit the actual wall of the van. Most people create furring strips with plywood and drill those into the beams and then panel the walls into the plywood furring strips

This is just simply gorgeous! The light wood, plants, bedding make this look so homey snd comfortable! And live that minimally, is a dream of mine! Impressed that you took this upon yourself to build; such a great job! FedEx van? Very good choice, as you stated, better build, for durability and maintained well. How were you ever able to find such a van? I guess just check with company? How did you even think to buy such a van? Congratulations! You have the life many of us wished we had!!

She didn't mention a source of income for either of them, however the van is really open and nice, but I suspect that over time she may want to add a second Deluxe Maxxfan in the back, a composting toilet, more solar and Lithium Iron batteries, and probably a pull out top load refrigerator freezer. Or maybe that is just what I would want due to being older. I changed my AC from 115 volt to a 12 volt which doesn't cool a 21' camper as well, but would be perfect for a van like this.

Stupendous. I marvel at the 6'6" "partner" getting on board with the little red hen. Where was he when you were building this?? Put big drawers underneath so you can pull out to access stuff easily.

No soy muy fan de las mini Van, por el espacio, para que las puedas adaptar para una casa rodante, está se ve un poco mas amplia, práctica y acogedora, le cabría un pequeño cubículo para la ducha y el baño 🚽, todo lo demás están bien distribuido.

For me it is the freedom to travel or stay in one spot. Retired so I live on Social Security and have a small next egg for emergencies. I have a Scottish terrier and he loves to travel and meet new people. Happiest ever with minimum purpose.

Pine is a volatile timber and not a healthy choice regarding air quality inside the van as it will off gas. More windows would be good for more light as well. Maybe she could change these two issues in the future?
