Solo Fishing & Camping along an Ancient Creek

On this trip, I head away for the weekend for an early summer packraft up a Prehistoric looking creek near home. Camping beside the creek, I try my luck targeting some Australian Bass, and treat myself to some delicious meals cooked over the fire.
This was a super fun overnight trip, I hope you enjoy!

Absolutely mate! Yes, its not what typically comes to mind when you think of "Australian Bush", I'm very keen to get out into some more dense rainforest areas.

Awesome little adventure. Man I would have been nervous about the fire in amongst so much loose leaf litter. I would have cleared out a big section to create a barrier to contain the fire more. Nice work on leaving no traces.

Hi mate, appreciate the concern, I’m all for safe fire and leave no trace practices, and also willing to learn off of others 😃 However, I wasn’t nervous at all regarding the fire. Having maintained many fires over the years I was more than comfortable having it in that space. It had actually rained recently and there was not a breath of wind on the forecast that night. Moreover I didn’t need much of a fire for the cookup, I had also put it out once I’d finished with it. Thanks for the comment but, appreciate the concern.

@@blade1535 so I recently returned from an awesome late season bass trip with my Dog where we got into some, and explored an absolutely beautiful gorge. I’m very keen to finish up and share the edit with this one. I’m confident this’ll be the best vid to date 🤞Beyond that, heading away next week for a 4 day Packraft trip with Juan through some BIG Murray cod country. Hoping we get onto some 🎣
