Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph - Solo Flawless Pit of Heresy Dungeon on a Hunter w/ Gyrfalcon's Hauberk Build / Solo Flawless Pit of Heresy Dungeon in Season of the Seraph for the pinnacle while it's the weekly focused dungeon / Updated Pit of Heresy Guide Season of the Seraph. Just a quick video showing a Solo Flawless Pit of Heresy Dungeon being cleared using a Hunter this season with the Void Gyrfaclons Build. Details below.

I guess this is my way of doing "build videos" on the channel, as it kind of always has been the way I've done things. Showing a build being actually used to solo something, and then thoughts on it in the description.
The build is good, which is the reason that everyone has been posting about it since it was updated. Boss damage is decent, and survivability is great when you're able to get devour going. The lack of being able to get recovery when you're going for resilience/mobility is a bit painful though, so maybe Res / Dis / Rec would be a better focus. When you don't have devour up, it doesn't feel as great, but still very strong. Solo Operative and Weakened Clear mostly carry the boss DPS though, as it will do for the rest of the season. Maybe a Repulsor Brace SMG would be better fitted... if only I didn't delete every single one I had before now.
Whether or not this would be preferable to the perma invis builds in Solo GMs like with Gravitons is another story though. Will have to see.

@@BrockPurdysBurner13 spire is easier. it's 80% jumping puzzle. the bosses have literally no threat. kill adds, shoot cables, dps. the only way to ever die is if you mess up a jump.

@@SordidusFellatio I crafted the Ikelos_HC with repulsor brace and rapid hit. The volatile rounds Gyr adds makes it god damn disgusting, I'd give void weapons a try in PvP with it.

Honestly I find the arc hunter punching build way more reliable and safe. This build is fun sure, but people are hyping up its damage output and combo blows objectively does more. At least for 80% of encounters

@@duke605 i agree. people are acting like this build is broken or something when it's just strong. void hunters finally have a build that's not just "go invis" so people are blowing it out of proportion.

@exopaut i don't think so. you get a ton of DR w/ arc hunter + 100 res and the add clear is also pretty good. you also get invis + healing on every kill while killing champs with ease. it also lets you generate a ton of orbs. it's just a tougher build to pull off because you have to play melee.

@@antares8826 It can tend to have bigger dry spells than contraverse given that no abilities = no invis, but it's definitely my favorite out of the two.

OMG...respect! For anyone that still denies this guy, this vid undeniably proves the skill. Did everyone else see his overall stats in the beginning? They're horrible. Yes he takes the stat losses to use the fragments he wants but with those stats the average player would die/wipe on a regular basis. Has he ever posted any old/early vids so we can watch him as a beginner?

Yeah, I hate when people use fragments just for the stats alone. My titan, using HIOL, I can get 100 resilience, discipline, and strength, but I am using energy converter and spark of shock for jolting. I still have 90 discipline and HOIL pretty much makes t9 or t10 unnoticed.

@@JustSway Still having 90 discipline is really good. All 3 of my characters have 80 discipline + I use the impact induction mod. That + a cpl melee hits & my grenade is back quick.

@@thommyjacobs8921 I know. I get away with a lot more sacrificing a tier of discipline. Don't spec into intellect and I run one or two ashes to assets, energy converter, and one or two extra stacks of charged with light. Killing 4-5 enemies with your granade and consuming your all your stacks by throwing it you get pretty much half your super ready. It's good for hot swapping to cuirass of the falling star.

@@JustSway Some people use certain builds that don't benefit much from specific fragments, and instead go for fragments that boost stats. I don't belive having perfect triple 100 stats is necessary like a lot of people seem to, but sometimes it is best to use fragments that boost stats when none of the effects change your build

@@jonahbrown5669 To me, the stats aren't as important to the build but to enhance the build. What makes the build is what you are trying to accomplish being the exotic(s), mods, and subclass customization (regarding the stats). Three firepower mods, one elemental shards, and one elemental charge on Revenant with renewal grasps and the whisper of durance and torment of course with grim harvest and touch of winter. Other fragments are free to choose. I don't even run that but I have before, not that hard to set up an easy grenade build using firepower mods.

the only difference i make in this buiild is i use Taking charge + High Energy Fire. That way i'm always able to proc Devour. Even when i have my super :)

I switched high-energy fire for Reactive Pulse for extra overshields during finishers and also for spending CWL stacks simply by taking damage. It's not AS reliable as simply killing something, but I found its extra utility a lot better, plus less compromising in terms of gear elements since 3/4 hunters use arc legs anyway.

I just solo flawlessed this with my titan last week was difficult but was able to get past totems which was the difficult part about this dungeon I had the rest in the bag but when I tried this before totem always stopped me

@@deathfromthedepths uh I don’t really remember since it’s been so long but it might have been that titan helmet Loral for survivability and riskrunner for when the thrall would hit me to activate the chain lightning with a lmg that would take care of the knights in the balconies in that totem room. And I think a high damage shotgun for close and personal to kill the knights fast enough to get back to the platform but I could be wrong it’s been a few months since I did run pit

I suggest trying this build but switching up funnelweb to Veles-x (ritual weapon) with repulser brace, exiting invis give your void weapons volatile round, veles x is a void weapon, and repulser brace gives you overshield upon killing a void debuffed target, so it’s basically same thing but you get overshield on every kill as long as you know how the cycle for the build works, which is literally just dodge for invis and then get a kill on an enemy with volatile to get both overshield and more invis, and repeat

That is a great pulse for void builds but smgs (overload this season) are just so good for ad clear and primary dps for up close, you might as well use the duality smg with repulser brace on it.

You don't have to go straight down like he does, there are 'levels' with appropriate ledges to land on, on the way down between the spinning traps. There is no trick per se just good timing if you want to go straight down

This build is a lot of fun!! Thanks for this. Any plans to revisit Solar Hunter by chance? I think the last time I remember seeing it was the Inverted Spire GM, but I could be wrong!

I don't know why I've just always sorta steered away from solar hunter, outside of forsaken and the ophidia spathe builds back then. Something I need to revisit though, as there's really no particular reason I've avoided it lol

I totally get that! Especially compared to Solar Lock and Titan now, they defintely feel like they are missing a little bit of that "oomph" factor, especially after we lost Classy Resto, Revitalizing Blast, and the recent BB nerf.

Deleting weapons with Repulsor Brace was perfectly understandable, the perk is useless unless you make a point of building into volatility. It's like the old complaint about how Champions restrict your weapon loadout, except your weapon restricts your everything else if you want it to help.

the whole point is getting volatile from gyrfalcon’s, and the only other way to do that is via the “grenade kills give volatile rounds” fragment, so… you can try volatile rounds like that with ability regen stuff too, but otherwise just need to wait for chest day lost sector and farm for one

love what eso do follow him since console time but recently sub to a guy named mactics for focused more on the builds ty to eso strats and the builds from mactics i menage to solo grasp off avarice so in terms of making builds especifically get to mactics and comeback to esp for how to solo game modes it is just a tip take it or leave it have a good one

Jupp. But i suggest velex-x with repulsor brace. Or better a void smg with it. I just don't have one 🤷🏻‍♂️ An smg with the overload perk in arms, lets enemies deal less damage to you. With this build, considered you know the dungeon well, everything until the final boss is pretty easy. For the first boss, i suggest tipan or fire and forget. Don't follow the boss. So his push won't do much to you. But the final boss... First, to get all nodes done and keep control over ads. Second, to get the most out of each damage phase. Since this build has no healing during that. Witherhoard with Grenade or rocket launcher with chill clip. And super, the one that weakens the boss, to deal more dmg. Fire and forget can craft chill clip too, i prefer that with veist stinger. Well, that's how i made it 🤷🏻‍♂️ but it takes ages. Especially final boss. Actually arc would be better, because this suicidebomber hydras will not explode if arc kills them. Trinity ghoul might be a good alternative to witherhoard. And change to assassins cowl. Edit: or differently said, it's safer to go with arc during the final encounter. As i use a masterwork crafted fire and forget, void or arc doesn't make a big difference. I tried stasis agers scepter with catalyst build. To get more out of fire and forget. But it needs more skill to pull it off, then void or ark.

It’s something with playing all 3 characters. You get to do all of the pinnacles and daily bounties on each character, but it takes quite a bit of time

As much as I like funnelweb, I feel that viest stinger doesn't proc often enough for me. I feel like unforgiven with feeding frenzy and repulsor brace would be better. You double up with reloads from ff and bitterspite and you get an overshield. I don't have one to replace my funnelweb so I can't say how it would fair...

I have no words to describe how much i hate the harrow (jumping puzzle). It makes my violently angry. I get clipped by a sliver of those stupid pendulums or pillars then my run is over. 15-20 down the drain

"Newborn guardian" I assume meaning no exotics or difficult-to-obtain gear? Cuz that sounds like it'd make the boss damage a hundred times slower than it already is lol; that doesn't sound like it'd be very fun to *watch*, let alone fun to *do*.

He said it above but practice really does help. It might take a little bit but if you learn the dungeons and really practices you can get it. Pit of Heresy took me a ton of tries to get it down flawless. I could solo it at that point but without dying was another story. I’m insane though cause I took a four day weekend and just attempted the solo flawless. I did nothing else that weekend. I was also on Xbox one so that hindered some of my abilities. Later that next week I got it though. Once you solo flawless one the rest fall into place. Prophecy took me even less time to solo flawless. And well Shattered throne I soloed when it first came out which was a feat of its own. I solo flawlessed that one after the harder dungeons lol. But don’t give up! You’ll get it Guardian! It may seem like a tough hill to climb but all you need is the mindset of not quitting and a good pair of hiking boots. In this case guns lol

Everyone is crazy about it, and yet I find my Liars Handshake hunter far more powerful than this one. Even in dungeons I use it over assassins cowl one or this one. As long as there are things around to punch, I can never die. 1-2 punch shotty and even champs are still a joke, despite the nerf. On GM difficulty, it really doesn't matter, cause you need to stay back and be careful anyway. Invis is a crutch, but you don't need Gyrfalcon to go invis. Graviton will still be better, that' my guess.

@@amirmoneyplayz8757 The damages on invis finisher is unusable in any realistic scenaro. It's way to short and it starts when you you don't even control you character. If they want to make it usable, it should start at the next invis exit. But I don't think that damage part is even necessary.

reaping wellmaker would be better and with 100 mobility, after all to get those 9s volatilile after dodge every 14s and get well from kill after dodge, faster than discipline

next since funnelweb was nerfed with zoom to 14, hero burden might be better option due better stats and impact 20 not 15. i must test that in vog, last season it was weaker with precission shots due zoom
