Medan is the mexico of Sumatra, because there are so many criminals such as gangsters, thieves (even fences, electricity poles, water channel covers) they steal everything, and one more there are many hidden drug villages. Be careful there at night, that's why Medan is called the most dangerous city in Indonesia

The lady who said “be careful “ means to you to take care of your self or look after yourself. It doesn’t really meant you have to be careful because the area is dangerous. In Indonesia we always say “hati-hati” when someone leave us, when you translate it into English is be careful.

The "danger" & "edge" are all apart of this great human experience. This is true unbiased media, and giving a 100% transparent view into the windows of the lives of others around the world. A POV many of us will never see! These locals live with these "dangers" their whole lives. Continue doing what you do man, its awesome! But, obviously, dont do anything YOU dont want to do or feel comfortable with. Aside from that, thank you for sharing these experiences with us and I cannot wait to see your channel pop off as you deserve! I've watched so many travel channels and you're easily the most personable & relatable. The first time I gave money to a bunch of kids (5 or 6 of them) another 30-40 turned up out of nowhere....I had to hold my hands over my pockets as their hands where everywhere...then they just scattered......a police car turned up......saved me from losing my wallet, my phone, etc... things can go bad really quick, and no one will be on your side in those backstreets. Content is good but don't carry everything on you e.g., leave credit card back at hotel etc. so at least you have access to money if you lose your wallet. Personally, I would not have drunk from a bottle that I did not see opened.....I have spent too much time in Asia and therefore are too cautious...lol

Actually, this city is the most multicultural city in Indonesia, but unfortunately crime in this city is quite high. Actually, if someone asks you for money, don't always take it seriously, it's better to just leave. If you want to experience riding a train in Indonesia, you should be able to ride while you are still on the island of Java, because taking the train is easier on the island of Java.

I think the tiket that you wanted to buy was an intercity train ticket from Medan to Deli Serdang (Bandar Khalifah Station) and the standard procedure is for you to show your ID or Passport when buying the ticket..and perhaps because of the language barrier, the process became hard where you were even asked to go upstairs? (to her boss? Who may be able to better communicate with you?)...Did you try to use google translate with her?...As you well have noticed by now the Indonesians' command of English outside of Bali have significantly deteriorated..😢. ..

@@marcoroams yes it's Chayote also called Choko, something like a bitter gourd. You'll find them in the Philippines too, probably all over Asia if you look. It tastes a bit like Zucchini when cooked but in my opinion nicer.

That building at the beginning was not exactly just a hotel. It was more like a brothel. Closed during Covid I think. I wouldn’t say that it’s in the best part of town, but I don’t think that any part of Medan is exactly dangerous- during day time anyway. Medan in my opinion is an unpleasant charmless place. I actually dislike it quite a lot. But you can walk around the poorest parts of town and you are very unlikely to be robbed - at least during the day. There is a lot of petty gangsterism and extortion/ protection rackets and policing seems inadequate/ not particularly effective.. I could go on.. but basically not sometimes for the average tourist to be over concerned about.

small children in Medan have been corrupted because of their liking for gangsters, one of the famous gangsters is RNR,, in Medan it is very famous, for example the small child at 04:29 mentions the word RNR.

I doubt it really, they were all fighting too hard for the money to feel generous unless they were friends. Years ago in our resort there were 7 or 8 kids around me, I offered the oldest boy money if he would share - big yes - I gave a 100 pesos which surprised them all, off they ran. I kind of think my money got shared at least a little bit, my group of kids were friends.

Been following your videos for a while, just don’t understand why you keep giving money to the people. You can help them by purchasing things from them but giving them money and causing chaos to the people???? Maybe it’s not much for you but is that the way you try to get more likes by showing your “generosity”?

Okay mate. Not a fortune teller and never knew there would be chaos. But as you saw in the video, I did not cut in a specified scene where I stopped to give money, it was literally part of a video where I filmed for something like 5 minutes non stop, I show what happens where it happens. I give money on and off camera… I don’t know what else you want me to say 🤷🏽 Thank you for watching

@@docttss4003 damned if I do damned if I don’t mate, Don’t be so quick to judge until you understand what it takes to be a KZfaqr travelling to poor communities. Give money and food 20 times off camera VS 1 time in a video and then someone always has to put in their 2 cents. (Like your comment) The thing is I get given donations all the time and I like to show my viewers and donors that I actually help people out it’s what’s given to me. You have a better idea? Your first few videos were purely you being you, but you have shifted your main purpose or goal being a travel KZfaqr! It’s my feeling and opinion about how I feel your changes and moving away from your initial goal. But it’s up to you to accept or continue what you still think you are right

I love travelling with a local companion I give them the smaller cash and they pay trycycles.snacks and tips gets the local prices and no confusion
