I also had the same idea. It would probably involve track u or at least picking up specific movements or data from a camera at the very least, which would be scary to be watched all the time. Then again they pretty much already are listening to us most the time. Ever talk about buying a boat to your friend and then start having a bunch of boat advertisements fly ur way on different apps? Yeak that’s what I mean. They definitely also have the ability to watch us already if they rly wanted to. So ig it wouldn’t be to bad cuz they’re gonna probably do it or use that data either way, so might as well get a rly cool dream life experience out of the deal🤷🏻‍♂️.

It's great and I really like how everything is set up, really feels like you're setting yourself up as a video game character. Before I try it out I just wanted to give my two cents based on the content available. One of the main reasons I like solo leveling's power system more than others and think it would be great if applied to real life is well, the "system". It's very interactive and it does this in a personal way (as in assessing Sung's abilities). I've only seen the anime so I don't know the full capabilities of the system but the core idea I find amazing. The system here only gives quests and a little at that with no rewards. Yes I know you could choose the reward but normally the system chooses for you, the reward could be something random or something to help you pursue another "quest" like the job change quest which is how Sung unlocked his class. Not to mention the key leading to a dungeon, I think instance dungeons. I think these things could be implemented in some way to have the system more involved as that's the main premise that makes this power system great, the system molding you into a better person. I could talk on it more as I know this isn't as straightforward as I'm making it sound and I honestly don't have all the answers myself but you've done something great here already so I thought I'd mention this to see your thoughts on it. Sorry for the long message and thanks for your work on this.

Wow, thanks! Appreciate the thorough analysis and suggestions, I really loved reading it. To be honest with you, I completely forgot about dungeons and keys. Those are actually important bits to the story. Hmm, I think I need to reread the manhwa again. I'd probably try and see whether I could create something similar in the current system in Life RPG, but no promises on having that delivered soon, so don't keep your hopes high on it, yeah. On the rewards for completing quests: Life RPG actually allows you to create your own custom rewards (and penalties) that suit you best for your personal life progression. So, when you complete (or fail) a quest, you can reward (or penalize) yourself with something that is meaningful to you in your personal life. However, there is a System Quest inside Life RPG which I (as the architect) can offer external rewards for players when they complete a system quest. This is something I'm currently exploring. For example, if a player follow/subscribe to me on social media, and provide a proof like a screenshot, I'll give out a discount voucher or something. In other words, the quest and reward for a System Quest will be something everyone would feel equally able to take part in and have an idea what kind of reward they'll get. I'm not sure if I'm making sense on this, but I hope I got the gist of it across. Thanks so much again for your thoughts, I truly appreciate. Feel free to share again whatever thoughts or feedback you have, I'm all ears. And I hope you'll love using Life RPG :)

It's my pleasure man as I said I really like what you have going on here, I haven't started using it yet (wasn't aware there's a price tag) but it's on my list. Dungeons could be something you could partake in with other people or on your own though I think in verse you need to be in a guild or round up members to be qualified to do so. Instance dungeons on the other hand you could get randomly from doing system quests. They would have a random list of quests to complete, a time limit and some form of boss via a quest (the enemies present could be in the form of quests too). I like that idea of system rewards but I don't think it has to be online based if that's too out of scope currently, I think it could be something the system tells the player they've earned like "your favorite beverage" "an episode of anime" etc based off the rank of the quest. Given that I don't think you should know what you're doing the quest for as that would make players avoid quests based on the reward. The reward should be a random set of options you can choose from, I think there should be a range as "an episode of anime" could be a reward but for those who don't watch anime something like "an episode of netflix" could be more viable or it c coild be more generalized "an episode of 'x'" so the player chooses. I just like the idea of the rewards being specific tho in contrast to generalized as the system is targeted at modeling you to be ideal so you don't have much of a say so I personally like the range option the most I'd like to hear your thoughts. As for rewards you do know beforehand I think those could be left for high rank instance dungeons like the one he went to in order to obtain the medicine for his mom, iirc he had an idea that he'd get the medicine there based off the name or something else and he realized he had to get inside the main area of the dungeon first after defeating the "guard". Forgot to mention I think the system should also assign penalties in a range of you fail the quest like Sung getting sent to the area with centipedes if he fails his daily quest and it also got harder once he leveled up as there were more centipedes when he got sent there at the end of season 1 compared to just 1 when he first got sent there. Lastly I think the player should have health as to make us feel more connected to them, I guess the only logical area to lose health would be the dungeon "enemy encounter quests" but you could go hardcore and have it more you lose health from failing any quest. I think this would serve as a good visual reminder that if you fail you could lose your character not just levels and if you lose your character then you irl are probably in a very bad spot. It's great reflection and it happened to me once when using Habitica, I thought there's no way my character could die because you regen full health from leveling up (which if you do add a health system you could do the same as it works that way in verse) and you could even purchase health potions. My character ended up dying though and you only get sent down a few levels from what I remember but it made me reflect on pass decisions to lead that to happening. I ended up going on for much longer this time sorry about that. I hope what I said is clear and I look forward to seeing your thoughts.

Sorry for the slow reply! And thanks a lot for writing down your thoughts and sharing your ideas - I really appreciate your time! Yeah, if I do create a dungeon-like feature, you could always use invite people to your Notion workspace and work towards a clearing the dungeon together. Even at present, you can already invite your partner/family/friends to your Life RPG and work on your life goals together. I thought of adding health before, but figured it would complicate the template too much. The aim of Life RPG is to be a simple yet practical productivity system with some gaming elements to make chasing life goals fun. Really, as much as I'd love to implement these ideas like setting random rewards, quests etc, Notion is a productivity app and not a gaming engine/software. So, there are limits to how we can do stuff with it. That being said, Notion is highly customizable in terms of what you can do with it. What I'm providing with Life RPG is essentially a productivity framework in the form of a template. Once people duplicate this template to their Notion workspace, they can freely customize this template further to create whatever workflows that are specific to their productivity needs. Habitica is a great habit/tasks gamifying app but then again, it only functions as a habit/tasks gamifying app. You can't create a financial system and link it to your tasks manager, or create a digital journal and link it to your habit tracker. But you can do that with Notion. It's like a super all-in-one productivity app, but with some limitations, of course. In future videos on my channel, I'll share how I manage life - from journal writing, finance managing, inventory tracking, tasks managing, and more - using just a single app, Notion. Hope you'll look forward to it!

@@hartbraekerr You're all good, my apologies for being even slower. Yeah notion makes it so dungeons could be done really well thanks to the invite to workspace feature. I understand keeping things simple as that's an appeal I like, I just found through my experience with Habitica Health is a great second motivator alongside penalties. You coule get used to a penalty depending on what it is or simply not mind it as much but having health gives incentive to take action because of your limited attempts at failure hence boosting productivity. Yeah my fault there I definitely probably went out of scope with the rewards and such, I just really would like the vibe of the architect being more present in the framework like in the series as it's constant accountability which is very important to remain productive. I've had good days but fell off the next because of no accountability. Ah, then yeah I see the vision. You seem more experienced than the average with Notion though so I for one couldn't hope to do much more than what's already present. No I agree completely, that's why I stopped using it as I wanted something I could structure my whole life around. Started looking more into Notion but it's kinda finicky so once again well done on the template. It's just based off my past experiences I'm looking for features to combat where I fell short. I'm definitely looking forward to that, I saw that you have other templates like your inventory one which is very nice. Stoked to see them working together.

Not at all, it's no one's fault for sharing thoughts and opinions! On the contrary, I appreciate your strong interest and excitement. It really makes me happy to see people interacting with my work. And you shared some quality ideas for sure, thank you. Notion is actually quite easy to learn and use. Once you get the hang of it, it's a very useful tool to have, especially for the every day people. You can create lightweight task managers, simple financial planners, plan and organize events, journaling, managing projects, etc in one single workspace. Notion replaces nearly every other app I have. It's kinda nice to keep things minimal. Btw, I'm in the midst of creating a video tutorial on how I use Notion. I hope this upcoming video might help you and everyone else. And yeah, I personally link every other templates I have into a unified system, and it works great for me. Hey man , I had exactly this idea for an app two weeks ago and was (positively) shocked when there really is such a thing as liferpg. First of all, thanks for the great app! It helps me immensely with my ADHD. question: is it possible to get a bonus or a reward if you complete the daily quests, for example, 7 days in a row? Like a kind of 7 Strike for example? The program would have to recognize that you have completed these 7 times and count them. If the program is interrupted, it can then reset the number back to 0
@hartbraekerr
@hartbraekerr 2 күн бұрын
Hey man, thanks for your support, appreciate it! Yeah, you can create and set your own bonus/reward for each quest. For example, you create a reward called "Watch one drama episode". Now, you have a quest to "run 5km". Once you completed your "run 5km" quest, you will obtain gold, a currency in liferpg. You can then use the gold you obtained to purchase the reward 'Watch one drama episode". There's no dedicated program like the one you mentioned, but you can always set your own personal goals if you'd like. Whichever works for you. Hope this explains it!

I bought the template, as i understand each quest is like a task, right? I have lots of tasks, thinking about creating quests for all the tasks i received feels stressful. Do you have any alternatives for medium & micro tasks? Is there anyway to synchronize a list of tasks to create multiple quests at the same time?
@hartbraekerr
@hartbraekerr 2 күн бұрын
Thanks for purchasing the template, Chocosherry, appreciate your support! When starting out, I'd recommend creating tasks you'd like to complete for the day. Once you starting to get the feel of your new workflow, create tasks for the week, then month. It's almost always a gradual settle-in process with a new workflow. Don't stress yourself out logging many tasks at the same time. If you really need to brain dump your tasks (I do this a lot!), create a new empty page wherever in your Notion workspace, and dump there first before logging them as tasks. For medium and micro tasks, I recorded a short tutorial video for you here: www.tella.tv/video/how-to-create-micro-tasks-in-liverpg-0rqb I'm sorry but I don't really understand what you meant by synchronizing a list of tasks to create multiple quests? If you can share an example of an app/tool that does this, that'll help. Thanks!

Great stuff. I was wondering if there is a way to quickly setup daily or recurring quests? Like if I wanted to have a quest every day to work for 1 hour. Or if I wanted to perform a workout on Monday of every week. Things like that. The best I can do is to go into the calendar and just duplicate the quest and move it to each individual day. Duplicating multiple quests at once there does get a bit weird, but it at least works. Edit: Turns out making a button for it looks like the best way to do it. Glad you added that part in the video!

Just Bought This Amazing Template. I wanted to ask you, How can I edit the system announcement for myself ? Like for example it is you, i.e the architect who posts the system announcements as well as the system quests. So is there any way I can become the Architect Myself and Edit only for my page, the announcement as well as system quests ? Also is is permissible for me to delete the announcement and system quests section after duplicating the template ? Like would it affect anyone else negatively ? Like I would prefer to Add my own system quests or delete that section entirely for minimalism.
@hartbraekerr

Thanks for your support! Means a lot. You can’t edit the content of the system quests or system announcements. If you’d like to remove them from your page, feel free to do so by removing the whole block. It won’t affect anyone else negatively (thanks for your concern! You’re very thoughtful, thank you). Once you removed them, you can create your system section that fits your own workflow. That’s the beauty of Notion’s flexibility. Though I think that would be counterproductive and redundant for system quests, as you already have your own quests section. But hey, you do you, whatever makes you feel more productive. The template is just a framework to help you. Hope this answers your question. Thanks again for your support!

So, don't beat yourself up too bad. At every stage of life, we reward and punish ourselves. And every time we learn new skills, that equates to leveling up. However, one unique thing about our life is that we will regress as we age and then finally, we die. But before that happens, we should make the most of our time, and this template is what I feel might help people out. Again, I'm really happy to hear from you, man. Good luck in life!

YO man it's me again from wayyy back, I've been using it but everyday I'm still so scared my level is going to reset, Is there anything I can do extra to make sure it won't reset back to level 0 again?

Yo! Thanks for still being here, man. Happy to see you. Hope life is going good. No worries, your level shouldn’t reset to 0. Just make sure to not change the formula properties unless you know what to do. Nothing extra needed from users end :) but in case if an issue arises, we can always sort it out together like before yeah
