when sung starts the job change quest he mentions that he didnt do his daily quest yet and the day is almost over, but he decided to go in anyway, so when the clock hit midnight he failed the quest and went to the punishment area so thats why that happened

Even planned though, 1 it doesn't make sense from a logic standpoint and 2 the timer runs out just before he would have died. It's not like he switches to a defensive strategy in hopes of getting teleported if he can just last long enough. It's just not well written.

@@guerrer02613 why couldn't he? And that's true to an extent but it was very strongly foreshadowed that him not doing it would be impactful. I don't remember how much knowledge we're given of the time that passes throughout the fight (before and leading up to the moment he TP's away) but I was definitely thinking about it. Bro definitely has some level of plot armor (most main characters do -- the content where that's not as true stands out for that reason) but I didn't have an issue with the scene since it was solidly set up and foreshadowed.

As a reader of the webnovel and manhwa, you don't have to worry about him getting overpowered. Each boss that he faces get successively harder. Even the final boss he ends up fighting with a disadvantage.

22:20 yeah they left out some important context on that daily quest thing. Before going into that dungeon, bro had a moment where he thought to himself if he should do his daily quests. However, he thought that the dungeon was going to be light work, like he for sure thought he would clear the dungeon before the end of the day. So it just so happened that when he failed to clear the dungeon, the punishment zone saved his ass. So the whole jumping into the dungeon and expecting to clear it and have enough time for his dailies was low-key like his "Nah I'd win" moment

once we get further into the story you will begin to understand that he does kinda have plot armor. he says it more than once that the system doesnt want him dead. this is true. after he earned his way into the game it set him on a specific path to become something so each fight is supposed to feel real tough for him.

Some of the "plot armor" stuff you talk about is explained differently in the manga/novel. But I agree, the way they did it in the anime doesn't feel great if you don't have that context.

He doesn't win every fight he literally skipped out on a fight because he knew he couldn't win that fight is starting low and working his way up it's more or less equivalent to a jiu jitsu Master beating up on average citizen until he gets to the job change once he's there he meets somebody at his level if not slightly above and what I mean by above is it's at the same level of when he initially died were the rest of them or some of them above but he is not overpowered in the sense of he didn't try for it it's showing that he's intelligent and I his intelligence is going somewhere if you remember correctly he asks himself over and over again what does intelligent mean
