I vlog about my experiences as someone who just recently moved out from my family’s house and started living solo in Manila.
Went on a quick, impromptu overnight trip with my nephews and their partners. Took this time to reflect. Shared about the lessons that 2023 has taught me.

Checking what I have with your list: ✅ Medicine Kit ⚠️ First Aid Kit (kulang-kulang) ❎ Sewing Kit ✅ House Tools ✅ Emergency Food Got me thinking na oo nga noh, dapat prepared yung first aid kit. Band-aid and betadine lang ata meron dito lol

Our med supplies are almost the same haha. By the way, another thing to add is Saline Solution (NaCl / Sodium Chloride). Saline solution is good for cleaning open wounds instead of using water or alcohol (yikes, pain!) and Saline is also good for washing burn injuries. Saline Solutions also helps wounds dry faster, and overall good to have in our emergency kit 👍🏻.

Hi Misoliff. Thanks for sharing this, this is very helpful especially to those who are planning to live independently. Medicine kit - totally agree with this one! Sewing Kit - never thought that i would need hanggang nasiraan ako ng butones, nabutas ung shorts and shirt ko. Essentials for me are electric kettle and microwave oven.

Dito sa city, 17k yung rent ko. CBD kasi yung area ko kaya ganyan yung rate 😊

Just curious Is it common to move out of parents houses in Philippines ? Or Asian parenting guilt trip dramas happens before !😂😅

yes I think it is common. but here in the province based on my observation (Philippines), no. even though you're already working, you're still living with your parents except if your work is on the other city

I guess it depends on the kind of household that one grew up in. But for me, as someone who grew up in an overly conservative household, I thought I could only move out from my parent's house is if I either go abroad or get married because living independently was not something we talked about 😅
