I strap my fold away camping chair to the centre handle of my paddleboard with Velcro straps so I can have a really comfortable sit down and rest my legs .I did 4 hours on Sunday on the the little river Ouse here in Brandon UK. The chair was much appreciated 👍..

What a sweet way to spend time with your old pup! I’m looking into buying an isup and I have a feeling my 6 year old lab/mutt will spend more time swimming and fetching a float toy than relaxing on the paddle board but you’ve proven that we’ll be able to enjoy it together for many years to come 😌

Another Great adventure. You make it so us folk at home who are disabled feel like we are out there doing it . Thank you , You have no idea how much it means to me. Just turned 60 3 days ago & until 2 yrs ago was out there doing it all throughout my life. I have beaten intestinal cancer, amongst many other things.. But neuropathy starting in rt foot causes right calf to swell so painful,, plus needing back surgery I'm told & double knee replacements. I've had ea knee arthroscopic twice as side already.. Grrr. Very painful to just walk. I can complain or I can say it could be much worse off. Never Quit is my motto. Just seeing how Great you take care of your dog shows what kind of man you are & what kind of heart you have. Same with your girlfriend inventing things to help people's stress shows same kind of heart.. I built homes & worked w kids/adults in locked/unlocked facilities with substance abuse & Psych issues.. Loved it helping people.. Going to try those shoes for sure hoping I can use for fly fishing here in Az . as long as not to slippery.. What a site must have been waking up w scorpions under you, Yikes!! Lol

Awe thanks James. That means a lot to me. I really try to change angles often and have some of those angles be Point of View so it does feel like you are the one on the adventure at times. What you shared, I cannot deny, sounds like it totally sucks. But, then again, you are still kicking. My pops died at age 56 of a brain annurism. Quick and painless I presume but all too soon nonetheless. I try very hard every day to live as though what may be around the bend could change my health in some way or another -- thus, I have taken several "mini retirements" throughout my adult life and I get out there and do what I love while my body is healthy enough to do so. Glad to hear you still fly fish. Where in AZ do you go? Hope those shoes do the trick. Best to you, James.

@@4XPEDITION I used to fly fish all throughout New Hampshire. Looking for places that I can actually reach by not walking too far. Thats how I found your video by looking under trout fishing lees ferry,,lol. I am told San Juan river is great also. Black River but I think its a hike to get to it. I'm thinking maybe I can mountain bike to some of these places from a parking lot etc. I can ride bycycle, though been trying to buy one too dang expensive. Even a used Trex or similar, Im 6' tall, but as soon as a used bike comes up for sale its gone in a Heart Beat. New ones are like $5-$600 for the cheap Trex, Nothing like when I was a kid,, lol. On SSD I take home per month Less than what I took home per week. Medical wipes out all savings. BUT I'm still above ground. I'm sorry about your Dad. Wow that is much too young. That must have blown you away. I am very sorry my friend. Keep up the awesome videos. Have a Blessed day.

It was so great to see Xela in one of your videos again! I wish good dogs never got grey & old. My gf's mastiff is pushing her geriatric years & she just wants to eat ice cream & be in the mountains. It's a shame that the Outdoor Retailer expo got cancelled in Denver.., I was looking forward to meeting you. Can't wait for the next episode!

I highly urge all doggers to invest in a life vest 4 pooch, very handy, and possibly life saving, buy one with strong lift handles

I'm so glad I found your channel! Great videos. I'm just waiting on my sup to arrive. I've got a red paddle coming. I am going to go camping with it. I also camp in my rav4. I tell you, Paul. The sky in the western USA is just stunning. I am in Montana right now filming and getting the camper installed and I found a spot last night on a ridge with panoramic views of snow-capped mountains. Wait until you see that footage in one of my upcoming episodes. Just breathtaking.

My dog is a Lab and a very strong swimmer. But I would never take him out on a loake or river without a life jacket. When we do rapids he jumps off the boat and swims the rapids. But even when we are out walking along the river if ther are rapids the will jump in and swim the rapid, this is san lifejacket.

Bam! Where you going to paddle? I was hearing the (what I call) Umpa Lumpa music so that was a reference to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the character in the film with that name) and then the band Veruca Salt. Lol. Thanks for keeping up. I know that was a bit obscure.

4XPEDITION hahaha yea I had to research that band and then I discovered that’s the name of the little girl from that movie. That’s when I said OHHH I GET IT 😂 I haven’t seen that movie in a very long time so the joke went over my head. I plan on going to Bartlett lake that’s my baby. The other lakes are too dang busy with boats and drunk people. I go the hardcore back way from the beeline on log corral wash to get to Bartlett. I love that neck of the woods.

Yooo love the clip!! I’m definitely gonna have to do a road trip and paddle out there and make a video out there. Have you paddled Lake Powell? I can’t remember if that’s AZ or Utah. But I wanna paddle that as well. The pickers you talk about we call them foxtails in Cali.

There are lots of vids where that type of life jacket failed to inflate. A lady even died when it failed and she was on a paddle board.

I have the Garmin inreach and like it better than Spot. You can Bluetooth it to your smartphone and send and receive text and email anyone. Check it out.

Thanks for the input. Don't prefer a canoe. I prefer a compact inflatable transport on water. Maybe a Oru Kayak for stability instead but I can throw my SUP backpack on an airplane and take it anywhere.
