Love the content! You should do a backpack series where you keep what you find along the way over the course of several locations. Like the fishing gear today would be a definite keeper but would you keep the glass or some shells? Like a nomad series idk I think it would be interesting to see what you keep and don't keep based on the space you have and weight etc.

I think you could get a lot more water out of this evaporation system if you increased the surface area for evaporation. You can do this by wetting leaves and twigs with the water and then putting this stuff in the pit. This makes the surface area much larger than if there is only the water itself in it. Maybe a good idea for next time ;)

The images of you securing your little tent were beautiful. the framing and composition add to it a lot. maybe you don't think about it, but subconsciously you do. your videos will bring about a change for a small group of people, but I hope it expands and more people see that living like this is indeed the happiest you can be. thanks so much, man for these amazing videos I don't know what my future plan would be without them.

You know if you used black plastic on the bottom to hold the sea water and put dark stones in the sea water, it would be hotter inside, it would heat the stones and you could process fresh water through the night. Plus with it getting cooler at night, along with them stones pumping back out the heat they soaked up during the day, you might get more water at night. Just some ideas to try, keep up the videos really enjoy them!

An idea to increase the effectiveness of the still: run it at night. The sun heats up and evaporates water well but that heat also kills off the stills ability to condense the vapors back into liquid water. You were so cold at night, imagine how much more water would have condensed on that top plastic sheet if you could somehow still run it then (pun intended). One possible way to do that: dig a hole for the still the same way but then also dig out a fire pit next to it. Getting enough heat from the fire into the water containment area would probably be the trickiest part but with a little trial n err + maybe using natural land features I bet it wouldn't be too difficult. Now when you run the still the plastic on the top which converts the water vapours back into liquid will be cooled off much much faster and as a result generate much much more water. As I write this I realize there is a danger of burning a hole in your plastic top sheet with an ember that falls on it from the fire, which would suck. You'd either have to build the fire in such a way that the smoke was vented away from the top of the still or cover the top plastic in a protective layer of sand. One last note, in this fire-powered set up it would probably be best to locate the salt water reservoir as close to the fire pit and maybe line that area with a couple good rocks to help capture and deliver as much of the heat from the fire to the salt water. Your videos are the greatest, cheers from Berkeley mate!

you have fresh water all around you and you could of gotten far more water then you had gotten in that bottle. One bush survival skill i was taught was....if you have a plastic bag you can put it over a branch with leaves inside the bag on any of those bushes or tress that are growing and tie it the handles so not much air can get inside the bag. The moister from the leaves comes out of them and collects in the bag and takes less time then doing it the way you did it. Try it next time when you do one of these survival trips in the bush.
