Such a great message at the end. It’s crazy that if you make $35K a year you’re wealthier than the majority of humans but we view that as near poverty level. We are very lucky. ❤

" $35K a year" depends on the cost of living. Russians have comparable lifestyle to Americans, yet their median revenue is much lower! The Federal poverty level per person is $13600. The French median annual revenue is 26,000 euros! Economically illiterate people don't understand that.😂 They look at the whole world through the American len$.🤣 Having internet or not is not a sign of richness.😂

Wow! I wouldn't have chosen MA as a place to go, but whatever works for you. Atlanta is a dump, and I hate it if I have to go there. Here in the North Georgia mountains it's not bad.

Slab City is known for a homeless encampment. The art is the work of a homeless man. There is a documentary about them on youtube. I think it was poverty of America or homeless in America. I am so thankful for where I am now, that I am able to help others.

I've read up on Slab City before. Some slab city people have a/c, internet, power, toilet, shower. There's a hot spring nearby. For food not sure but they are resourceful and trade items and services too. Most come from other places with some savings or a monthly benefit or pension cheque that will stretch out further there. Some residents there are very resourceful. Alot less people there in summer. One person rents out places to stay there with all the amenities. But it's not club med. Gritty. Grateful for what I have in Toronto.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned before, so apologies if it has but I would recommend a tire cover for your spare as the sun can really eat that rubber away. Again, sorry if I just mansplained, wasn’t my intention, just that I had a similar setup and when the day came that I needed to use my spare… it literally disintegrated as I was dismounting the tire. 😬

You can get "Y" straps. With them you can pull down both sides at the same time .

I think that you hit the slow season at slab city. In the winter months there are a LOT more people there. The library used to have it's own channel but the person who lived there moved away.

Close the camper top with a electric winch easy 👌 if you put on back bumper it could also be use if you get stuck. Normally you put on front bumper but for what you need back bumper could be beneficial for you .

Dog are the first line in cleaning dishes 😂. My daughter's friend was over one night. We ate and let the dogs clean the plates. Told my daughter it looks clean enough and to put the dishes up. Luckily my daughter caught on and went to put them in the cupboard. Oh the look on her friend's face was priceless 😅 she looked like she was going to gag. Got to ask are you a army brat or prior service, don't ever hear squared away from anyone else?

I second "hate doing dishes." When I see content creators preparing elaborate meals, I notice they never show themselves cleaning up. You, however, did! My GF and I freeze single portions of our favorite meals (gumbo, red beans & rice, taco soup) in silicone trays called Souper Cubes. Then we pop them out and vacuum seal them. They stack in the bottom of the cooler like bricks. When it's time to eat, we throw the blocks in a pot of boiling water on the jetboil. Once they are hot, we cut open the bags and dump them in our bowls. After dinner, we use the hot water in the pot to rinse our our bowls. Our little hack for gourmet food without ridiculous prep and cleanup!

I watched about 5 of your videos starting 3 days ago! I knew your dogs name was Blue but first time I heard you say your name was Maria. I thought about trying the nomad life but I got rousted the first place I tried to camp! It was Brick House in SC...just a test camping area and the guy with the park came buy like 5 times in 2 days to see when I was going to leave when I PAID for the site! I said no way is this going to work for me!

The Slabs pretty much shuts down in the summer. Most campers there go north to where it is cooler. Food store is not too far away; along the highway you turned off of to get back there.

for the AluCab thing... take a piece of rope and tie it into a circle that is large enough to span both rear handles, then attach the ratchet strap to that.. :) even distribution

You should clip your dogs fur when going through high temperature places. Blue can handle extreme cold but not hot.

Maybe you could put a handle in between the other two and attach it to that so the ratchet strap is pulling down from the middle? Not sure but just a thought!

BTW! How about another ratchet strap just long enough to go from one handle to the other, then put the long strap in the middle so it looks like a y? That way it would pull on both handles evenly!

Those people living in Slab city is their choice and they probably love it!!. Still grateful for what we have but EVERYONE has a choice to be where there at in life whether they are happy with their choice or not. This is USA and our sky is the limit +!!
