This is a video of a two-day solo winter bushcraft camp.
I found a suitable place, cleared the snow and set up an awning. It turned out laavu from pochno. Around the campfire site, I made a shaft of snow so that the heat would not be blown away by the wind.
Inside my bushcraft laavu shelter, I laid spruce branches so that the karemat would not freeze at night. At night, a Nodya taiga fire was organized from three logs. Well, to create an atmosphere, I installed branches around the fire. The light from the fire fell on them and it seemed that I was in the hut.

@BlackBird 😆 Amazing! I can see the headline now. Man survived a blizzard in Siberia by building a bush shelter only to die in hospital being killed by trichinosis two weeks later. 🤣 What he ate with his tea looked to be cured and edible. Probably smoked salt pork belly... idk I'm probably wrong. Pemmican is great too, but that wasn't it. At least not how it looks after we make it.

Probably a good idea. No one who isn't completely ready should undertake a trip like this, especially not alone like this guy does. It takes many honed survival skills, superb craftsmanship, experience in negative temps & some bad ass will. This guy is amazing & deserves serious props. I love camping & am in awe of people this skilled & brave but I too would never do this because it would likely end up in a worst case scenario, lol.

I am amazed by the number of different nationalities represented in your comment fields. And not a single negative comment; instead every one is heaping praise or taking about how your experiences in nature helps them cope with life in some meaningful way. I find it poetic and beautiful that the ultimate result of your deeply solitary ventures is to bring people closer together..
