GBB is the worlds biggest beatbox event. When you want paticipate you have to contest with a wildcard. The Winner will be live on stage at GBB.

But its also possible to qualifiy for gbb without submitting a wildcard. For example the winner from 7tosmoke earns a spot. But you are right are for people who do a wildcard (sorry for my english I‘m not a native speaker

There's actually a lot the goes into it cause you have to be sponsored by Beatbox international before you can submit a wildcard and for instance things can happen like zero winning a spot out nowhere like a beast

Actually, Show-go would have been higher in the rankings but he, I think if I remember, his wildcard was 6 seconds longer than the rule of GBB wildcards specified so he was lowered down causing him having deduction points. And unfortunately he won't be competing this year as well due to the pandemic so he will be replaced by the 8th placer Improver from Russia. I think some other beatboxers as well won't be able to participate, so yeah that's all

You should check out the wildcard winners from 2020, gbb 2020 got canceled because of covid. so the winners from 2020 and 2021 are competing together in the gbb 2021.
