🌴🌴Each time a video in this series is posted I do several things: 1. Grab a cuppa. 2. Light my Dukhni Bakhoor. 3. Grab my knitting needles and sit in my favorite chair. To the ladies...I have not the words to express my gratitude for your hearts wide open. I feel as though I can never be prepared enough (I think its all nerves really....) and am so ready to make the next step and just “do it”. I am unafraid, love my own company & the outdoors & I quite feel as if I am there with you. Thank you for the courage to reveal things that are sacred & private, for exposing yourselves to the world in an intimate way. I surprisingly feel such sadness that this series is completed though I wish you all your hearts desires, safety along the way & may your deity surround you on every side. I shall miss you🌹💗🌹 And to my dear 💐Marina💐 the mum of Odie whom I miss terribly...how I’ve grown an enormous affection for you, your spirit is infectious and your heart is so beautiful. i have to say i am sad this has ended, perhaps one of the most enjoyable programs i have ever watched and it all gelled together so well, thankyou marina for bringing this to us,i think i fell in love with just about everyone in the series, when it 1st started it just seemed like gypsy life but it is very different and wish everyone so much luck in their venture..

*Thank you* for putting this together (and for giving me new subscriptions), I've enjoyed it *so* much! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I'm obsessed with solo female vanlifers/backpackers. Especially if they have a dog! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Ever since I was a wee lassie, I didn't want a house, I always wanted to live in a small caravan.. and I used to think that it was for holidays only (if you're lucky enough to have the money). I thought that only retired people or lottery winners could do this lifestyle. I also thought that you could only do it if you had a man with you. And I thought pets were a no-go area. *Up until* a couple years ago, I signed up for Instagram and I came across two women turning their tiny van into a tiny home. They picked up work on the road. *and...* THEY HAD A DOG (and not a small one)!!! I couldn't believe my eyes. If my anxiety disorder weren't controlling everything in my life, I would be able to learn how to drive and have my own van to live in... I would've already been on the road for years now. It irks me when I hear people say they want to do it but then they just don't when they are fully able to. Whilst here I am, at the age of thirty still living with Mum and struggle to leave my bedroom. If you really want to do it, *DO IT* . There are so many people who can only dream of being able and well enough to.

This series should be on every traveler's watch list regardless of gender or method of travel. Awesome that the women were willing to talk at length so openly. And Marina was a fantastic editor. Well done. Can't wait for your next series... possibly about motorbike travels once you get a few more rides under your belt. Thank you so much for these series of information. I am a 57 year old woman who really would love to live in a van. I am looking for a van now. Yes, I’m nervous about the whole thing but I would regret not doing it.

I think the biggest question of all is .... what do you do in the winter? It looks like most of these are in UK/Europe where the winters are long and fairly hard. Do folks still stay in their vans? I have a T5 for long weekend adventures and travel all four seasons in the UK, but I see very few vans out and about between November and March.

Matt Clark hi Matt, I’m looking at renting for the next months (ie Winter here in the U.K.) and the van is small like a ford connect. If I can live for 6 months through the winter in a small van then when I purchase my own larger VW Transporter in May 2020 then it will feel luxury!! But although I will have snug winter rated sleeping bags etc, I feel I might need a heater. So that’s what information I am now searching for....

Like others, I really enjoyed this series. I thought the focus was pertinent and worthy. Women have unique perspectives, problems and vulnerabilities and unique abilities to rise to those challenges. Men are unique and wonderful in their own ways but this is about women choosing a lifestyle that fits them regardless of the obstacles. The questions provided some insights that will benefit all who want to understand or who are considering (feeling the call) this lifestyle. I believe each of us who choose this lifestyle are answering a call, one that becomes or became irresistible. The call is to freedom, time for self care, for reflection and processing our inner selves and living our inner life in peace. Finding a balance before falling to one's death so to speak. The call encompasses the desire to express our creativity and to have the time to find those outlets. The hamster wheel does not fully or sometimes even partially allow for that. The call is also to power, empowerment by removing the extraneous that distracts and drains and enslaves. When asked if the van life changes how we view the world, my thought was yes, but more so how the world views us--which is totally fine because it is a more authentic us. I hope no one finds it an offense if I took license to speak for others. Please forgive if so. Thank you and rock on.

What a superb series that was! I’m just so sad that it’s over! Thank you so much Marina for creating this and editing all that footage and organising all the logistics which in itself must have been SO much work! Thank you too to all of the ladies who were involved - for answering all the questions at such length and for their refreshing honesty! Despite my chronic illness, I do now think there might be a possibility for me to eventually try out Van Life for myself with my puppy Misha! I have really loved this series. I never knew it was possible until I started watching these van life video's. I had no idea they could be made so comfortable. I also thought it would be more difficult finding safe places to park without spending a fortune, or finding places to wash up, or having a family life, etc. I now see that it can work on a long term basis though I also feel the full-time van traveling is definitely not for everyone. It has made me very interested in this as a potential option which has made me feel a great sense of freedom, and I now look at van life in a totally new light. Thank you!

So very true on taking your time,slow down some,seriously. We all are in such hurries,why? I've realized this in the last few years of my life. We all truely need to slow down to enjoy each moment of our lives,weather your with someone or alone. Take our time to smell the roses as the saying goes.😊😊😊👍⚘❣ I adore all of these ladies,very impressed,this has been my dream fir quite some time,actually along time. So yes,I need to get me a rig of some sort and go and live my dream. I'm actually searching now,so hooefully sooner than later it comes true for me as well.😊👍⚘❣

Well done Marina and the girls! Interesting to hear the female perspective. I am a man living in a touring caravan (trailer caravan). I am based in the very south of Spain. One of the most common questions I get asked is: "Don't you get cold in the winter?" Well no. This is Spain. My caravan has a heater if it cools down a bit. I could understand it if I was in the north of Norway. Very few ask about how do I cope with the summer sun! Yet that is way more problematical for me. So some of your comments about not being put off by other people's fears are so true. Also the advice to try it is good. If you don't like it you can always sell your van again. Other people will want to buy it. So Van girls, enjoy yourselves. Ex van girl (Marina) also enjoy yourself and your adventures. I await with interest where you will take us......

Excellent series. I still have a couple of questions though. One is about how they wash clothes (and dry them) but the main one is how full time van livers, as in people with no fixed address at all, manage with regards to so many bureaucratic things such as bank accounts, phone/internet contracts, etc as most banks or any business involving financial contracts of any sort won't deal with anyone who hasn't a fixed abode. The same issue must apply to anyone who is formally 'homeless' such as boat dwellers or even foot based itinerants.

I have adored this series. Hearing from these fantastic women has given me soooo much to think about. The problem is I now have soooo many more questions to ask myself too🤔 Thank you for putting this series together. If any of the ladies would be up for chatting on line with me I would be fascinated to hear opinions from like minded women as me. I’m finding talking to friends and family about my ideas is impossible as they just don’t get where I’m coming from.
