Solo Woodland Campfire Cook up - Roughing out a wooden whiskey shot cup

Enjoying some peace and quiet around the campfire. Trying out some new camping equipment for the Suzuki Jimny. Tonight’s meal is an easy to make, super tasty campfire stew pot.
This is the second time I've used the DARCHE Eclipse Wall Set. It's from Trek Overland in York, UK www.trekoverland.com/products....
The awning is the 180º rear DARCHE awning and wall set that fits great on the small Jimny. I'm surprised how much room it gives you. I could sleep in there and leave the roof tent at home, I'll try that soon.
I plan to sew in a stove jack then use a small wood stove to heat the room and cook my food. Depending upon where I'm camping this will be a nice upgrade and it adds privacy when camping in busy campsites.
I also started a carving project. This time I am trying to make 2 wooden shot glasses out of some gorgeous freshly cut cherry. The idea is to carve these to a suitable size for the bottle optics. One for rum and one for whiskey. They'll slot into each other inside of another cup I bring for water, to save space. I've no idea what I am doing, there is no plan, I will just see what happens. If it does not crack, brilliant! If it fails, who cares, it's all part of the fun.

Vast majority of owners use BF Goodrich K02 A/T 215/75R15. I went for Toyo Open Country A/T as they’re lighter weight but have recently been running the K02’s and they’re great. I have the automatic and is great fun off road. I am not particularly experienced with off-road driving so the automatic helps me out. It is not very fuel efficient however compared to the manual.

Hi mate. Thanks glad you like them! I use a rock or little ramps to help level the car flat. Just means it’s nicer to sleep in the tent (or inside the car).

Hi mate, not a lot other than once a strong smell of pipe smoke kept repeatedly wafting into the camp at night. I couldn’t see or hear anyone nearby so it was a bit weird. It’s the exact smell that reminded me of my school teacher who used to smoke an old fashioned pipe in class. Couldn’t do that these days eh. Any other unexplained weirdness can be chalked up to alcohol and a wild imagination 😅👍

As you are left handed,try to find chefs knife that is made for left handed people,otherwise you will lose fingers 😃

у моего друга шины Yokohama A / T. очень красиво и отлично на дороге и бездорожье. Если бы я не перешел на 16-дюймовые колеса, я бы не стал пробовать 215 / 80R15. Более высокий профиль шины выглядит великолепно. я надеюсь, что это переводится нормально 😅🍻

@@GeordieJimny hahaha, but for that you are the best Jimny Campfire master with the best and most beautiful equipment. 🥰🤩 I‘m currently searching for my best setup with roof tent and roof rack. It‘s hard due to the limited roof load of 30 kg. Yeah, sounds strange but 30kg is the permissible dynamic load for the german jimny. Does not make any sense at all. Especially because the roof load of the Swiss Jimny, for example, is 50kg. What is it in the UK?

Illegal in the UK mate. There’s no predators here so only humans to concern yourself with. However, I’m not wild camping either, it’s a private campsite owned by a local farmer, so it’s as safe as you can expect. I’m more of a danger to myself with my awful axe skills 😅👍
