Comic book villains have always been interesting, especially because of their power quotient and one such villain for today’s discussion is Solomon Grundy from the DC comics. Solomon Grundy is a zombie supervillain who has opposed many heroes including Green Lantern, Superman, Batman, the Justice Society of America, and the Justice League of America. The most interesting fact about him is that being a zombie he resurrects after death in new incarnations, each of varying levels of strength and intelligence. Most of the time he is reborn as a mindless beast while some of his incarnations have also shown traits of heroism. Created by Alfred Bester, he first appeared in All-American Comics issue 61 released in October 1944. Grundy is the focus of one of the Four Faces of Evil one-shots that explore the aftermath of Final Crisis, written by Scott Kolins and Geoff Johns, with art by Shane Davis. It is the introduction to a seven-part mini-series featuring the character. Solomon Grundy also appears in the Stargirl mini-series where in the first season he was the major muscle of the Injustice Society.
