Thanks for sharing. Im entering my 30’s this year and still trying to figure this life out. I came to Christ in 2013 and have always been amazed by the wisdom in Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. I love self-help books but sometimes I get so tired of reading and studying and this morning I went back to Ecclesiastes 12 bc the scripture “much study is a weariness to the flesh” came to mind and the entire chapter summarizes what was most important for me to remember. All this chasing and striving after the wind is meaningless without God. I desired to build wealth and what not but to what end if not God? All these thoughts led me to this video, and to your comment. I feel a whole lot better now coming back to the simple truths and what truly matters that is laid out in scripture.

@Lionizing Legends yeah most books have to be filled with a lot of fluff so they can sell it. Realistically most books only need to be 10 pages or less to get the general idea across. Congrats on finding Christ. As life wrecks you, never let go. Even if you fall back into sin... never let go. It seems he let's us learn things the hard way if we choose. I just look at life as a game at this point since it rarely works out the way you invisioned. A big part of growing up is letting go of what you thought life would be like. As for striving... I can say it's worth it to become financially free. However... I think life was better when I had a job working with others. Everything absolutely is meaningless and can end any time. The hardest part is not getting sucked back into the cares and vanity of the world... and for most men that is the desire for women. We get sucked into so much bad stuff... and the root of it is to chase and please women. Just like Adam did with Eve. We really are cursed. Right on brother I'm so happy for you. Keep on keeping on just remember that it's not about this life. We will start living at the next life... so don't get too bent out of shape about this one. Having a good social circle is the biggest secret to being content and pulling through the pain of life. Invest into that the most if you can. Family and friends. Jump into these awesome writings when you can. They always bring peace for a moment.

@@SmartestDumbGuy its so funny that you said the comment about men chasing women. There is a verse in Proverbs 31 about that too. Lol God just led me to it. She told him to listen twice, and in verse 2 -3says do not spend your strength (or wealth) on women, your vigor on those who ruins kings. Then of course she goes on to list the characteristics to seek after in a wife later in the chapter. God blows my mind.
