First test of how well the SoloShot3, a robotic camera, tracks my Mosquito XE285. Not too bad but will need some tweaking.

excellent control demonstration, smooth transitions, turns, hovering, high five on the piloting.

Thanks Bill. I watched your video on your 285. I did the factory assist because I did not trust myself with some parts of the build. Have fun!

@@MauiFlyGuy hehe amen to that. I used to work on aircraft but even I make mistakes too. I'd love to do factory assist. How much did they charge you for that and where did you stay while doing it?
@MauiFlyGuy4 жыл бұрын
@@RifullOfTheWest The factory assist add about $11,000 but includes a three color paint job, use of all presses and jigs, and there is Adam or Dwight to fall back on if you have any questions. After the heli is done they charge $100/month storage since they have limited space for all the other operations.

Very good image quality and nice flying Michael ! Which engine do you think is quiter, the MZ202 or the Intec800 ?
@MauiFlyGuy6 жыл бұрын
Intec 800. I don't have a lot of experience with the 202. It has a higher pitch to me which may make it seem louder.

Thank you for the answer. I did ask you that because you have been often to the fly-in so you should have heard both engine to get a idee... :-)

Exactly where the tag is mounted? Is it GPS tracking device?
@MauiFlyGuy6 жыл бұрын
The tag is on my arm and yes it is a GPS tracking device.

What tweaking would you recommend? For me - I am SO DISAPPOINTED there are zero options for manual exposure. At the very least, allow us to LOCK it down. White uniforms against dark backgrounds (a constant here for soccer) is a recipe for terrible blown out subjects. How can you leave out the most basic of camera functions (SETTING EXPOSURE!).
@MauiFlyGuy6 жыл бұрын
You are going to have to give it time. We bought a machine that was not finished, did not have software completed, and everyone expected this thing to work like it had been on the market for 20m years. Just be patient things will work out. Think positive.

J. Michael Marshall Of course buying a camera without exposure controls is like buying a car without a steering wheel and saying just drive straight until they add one. I got a message directly from SS tech support telling me exposure controls were not even on their radar. I’ll think positive, but selling to the public (not a kickstarter, etc....) a product that is “not finished” is not a good way to do business. They certainly don’t mention it being not finished on Amazon where I bought it from.
