No, hed take over. Watch his escape rooms, he tries to do it all, it's only for the others butting in to help. He gets frustrated by them cos he wants to be one solving it all, but they mates so they get him. It would annoy me. I like his vids, but his escape rooms his friends have some good ideas aswell. Think its cos hes then one known for solving puzzles.

@@markgearing Looks like wood (and apparently smells like wood). Not sure you can laser cut wood, even if you can you'd probably end up with some burning on the edges. Water cutter (which is sometimes called laser cutting even though it isn't) may be possible or just a tiny electric saw on a CNC. For mass production some sort of press may work though I'm not too sure on that since the wood may just split (I work with presses all the time but we only cut or bend metal, sometimes we use wood stops when closing the die and those tend to split when you apply too much pressure).

Gregory Norris - I’ve cut MDF and plywood using an 80W CO2 LASER before and the results are pretty good. There can be some charring, but with correct power and speed settings it just darkens the edge a bit. I think this can be further reduced by using a cutting gas like nitrogen to displace oxygen at the cut, limiting the burning.

@@markgearing I hadn't thought about the use of a cutting gas but I'm honestly surprised it doesn't burn without it, good to know. The laser cutter I worked with before was used to cut metal and I'm not if it was CO2 (the shop I worked at mostly used ytterbium laser welders and had just one laser cutter used mostly for prototyping).

Chris, I love your content. You've gotten me so interested in puzzles. The creativity of some puzzle architectures is honestly astonishing. One hanayama puzzle I'd love to see you have a crack at is the cast hourglass. I honestly think it was forged in the fires of hell. Absolutely horrible puzzle.

Those puzzle pieces are called whimsy pieces. There is a few companies out there that make them. Generally smaller than a cardboard puzzle, but made with a lot more care. Even smaller puzzles can be difficult to put together, especially since most of the wooden puzzles I own have irregular borders (flowers, holes, wavy, or even in a shape). I'm excited to take a look at this company as it's a new one for me. My go to is usually Artifact Puzzles.
