As we continue our lead up to Earth Day 2021 we bring you the third reading by Mary Berry of her father Wendell Berry's essay "Solving for Pattern" from his book "The Gift of Good Land". In this excerpt, Berry offers three solutions for solving the problems of industrial agriculture and therefore the problems of our culture. He then puts forth standards by which we can judge solutions to those problems. Here are the first seven.
