Ny interest in ancient Egypt actually came into play here! They used to believe that when u died ur heart was weighed and compared to a feather. U needed to have a lite heart to have a better afterlife I think

I didn't really get Egyptian mythology until Rick Riordan started writing books based in that universe. But from what I learned on my own after some research, I think it had something to do with your deeds and how well you lived I think. I remember it being explained that if you failed the test your soul was devoured by a nether realm monster, I think? Sadly I would suggest you do your own research, cuz I'm a Greek mythology nerd more than Egyptian. Too many gods and goddesses to remember, not to mention the minor ones like Bast. I only remember some of the big ones like Osiris, Isis, Seth, Thoth, and Anubis. Anubis is my favorite though and he is the ferry man, for lack of a better term, between the living world and the afterlife.

Yeah the heart become heavy of your crimes so they weighted it to know if you were good enough to go to the after-life or to be eaten by a creature

The developer really put a lot of research in this game. I studied Egyptology and it was fun being able to read the hieroglyphs and then watch Gab, John and Sinow figure it out. Also the escape puzzle games are always chill to watch. So it's the perfect combination!

The Anubis puzzle with the heart has to do with how the dead would be judged when they died in Egyptian mythology. I can't remember exactly what happens but I'm pretty sure the heart would be weighed with the feather of truth on a scale. A guilty heart would outweigh the feather and be eaten by some animal deity so the owner wouldn't pass on into the afterlife.

I pretty sure she didn’t stream it. I watched sinow’s live and she wasn’t live at the time. She streamed earlier the same day and mentioned she was going to be playing this with them and they were streaming but she would record instead.

When you get the chance, I'd highly recommend playing a mystery game called "The Painscreek Killings". I won't give away too much, but basically you're a reporter who is covering an old unsolved mystery in an abandoned town called Painscreek. But since it is a ghost town, there is literally no one there, and when people play it, they get really paranoid and it's so fun. It's a really well made game, and it was a blast to play.

@@mo533 it's got a similar atmosphere. In Painscreek Killings, there is no objective list. You go into the game and head to places based off of clues you find.

At 17:00 when you tried to solve the "witness" you can't go through each edge only once because for the existence of Eulerian trails (which basically means you only go through each edge once) it is necessary that zero or two vertices have an odd degree and this graph has 4 odd degree vertices, so it was impossible :D (little fun fact after I just passed my Graph theory oral exam xd)

Have you tried the HOGS series of 'True Fear'. 2 in the series with a decent story line and mild horror. Great game series, highly recommend if you have not tried them.

17:19 Gabs..doign random stuff is not helping. You need to fidn out what to do before just....moving stuff around 19:00 ...so how much tiem did you waste with that puzzle instead of looking around? 24:07 you prob. needed to look through the scrolls..not just 1...but all of them
